Merlin Tuttle is a National Treasure

I was expecting a dry breakdown of all the different types of bats. What I got was so much more. The adventures of Tuttle are so captivating.

He encounters spooky people and spooky wildlife, and has converted me to a bat fan.

I'm a fan of actor, John Lina, and was excited to learn that he would be pitching in some with the narration of this book. Theresa did a good job narrating as well. The book is well produced!

I'm not knocking any stars off for failure to pun because it's a memoir of finding one's self. it would have been cool though.

I found some parts hard to read. I cringe at the thought of my mother paying my way. It was hard to be jealous of him because he was robbed of the opportunity to struggle that made TR the man he was.

Jon is a top-notch journalist. I've read many of his books, and all have been enjoyable. He does a good job of painting a fair picture of each person.

Shockingly Good

I'm not a cat person, but this is a darn good story. I enjoy watching Jackson fly his freak flag on Animal Planet and decided to give this a listen. I am so glad that I did.

This is a story about getting over addiction and growing as a person. It is an encredible story and even though Jackson says mojo too much for my liking, I'd live to hangout with him and shoot the poo.

In a world where there is far too much ingenuity, it's refreshing to hear from Curtis Jackson. He has the ability to seamlessly relate slinging rocks to white collar work. 5 stars

I've avoided this book for far too long

I thought this book was only for the pretentious and I was wrong. This is a delightful story even for those with simpler minds. Frank McCourt, RIP, did an excellent job bringing his memories to life. It really felt like I was being told the story by a 4 year old at the beginning and a young adult at the end.

Khristine Hvam delivers an exceptional performance

For what it is, light reading, it is an enjoyable book. As someone that enjoys science fiction books that really go into depth and tackle problems, I was a little disappointed that Dircks skirted around issues. This book is not without it flaws and there is one that drives me a little bit crazy. A character was introduced about halfway through the book that somehow plays a big role without much being disclosed about him.

Khristine Hvam made You're Going to Mars! a much more delightful experience. Her performance added so much to the book and make it easy to overlook some of the flaws. I realize its only February but this is the best performance I have listened to all year.

This book isn't life changing by any means but it is enjoyable. Khristine Hvam is one of those narrators that I haven't really gotten to spend much time with because a lot of the books that she has performed are not my cup of tea.
