Historia
Harris County, Georgia, 1912. A White man, the beloved nephew of the county sheriff, is shot dead on the porch of a Black woman. Days later, the sheriff sanctions the lynching of a Black woman and three Black men, all of them innocent. For Karen Branan, the great-granddaughter of that sheriff, this isn't just history; this is family history.

Brave, powerful storytelling
Revisado: 02-23-20
An incredibly brave and honest look at the past. I like that the research that went into the book is included alongside the story.
Narration is FANTASTIC. I’ve listened to a lot of audiobooks, so I feel confident in saying this is one of the best narrations you’ll find!

Historia
We continue the tale of Ross and Demelza; of the wayward Valentine Warleggan, whose existence keeps open the old wounds of the feud between Ross and George; of Bella, the Poldarks' youngest daughter, whose precocious talent as a singer is encouraged by her old flame, Christopher Havergal, and by a distinguished French conductor who has more in mind than Bella's music; of Clowance, the Poldarks' widowed daughter, who considers remarriage to one of two rival suitors; and of a murderer who stalks the villages of West Cornwall.

Amazing ending!
Revisado: 01-18-20
Non-stop action and Poldark family love all around. Satisfying end to the series. I’m going to miss 19th century Cornwall.

Historia
On a quest to find her sister's killer, Mac is a major player in a deadly game, but with one great advantage: she knows how to find the Sinsar Dubh, an ancient book of magic so dark it corrupts anyone who touches it. What Mac soon discovers is worse than she had imagined. Surrounded by treachery, her enemies indistinguishable from her allies, she can be certain of only one thing: as All Hallows' Eve approaches, her time is running out.

Ok on story, did not like performance
Revisado: 06-04-15
Would you recommend Faefever to your friends? Why or why not?
The series is keeping me interested even though I thought the first two books were light on substance. I know other reviewers thought the third book lacked action, but I actually thought it was playing catch-up in adding to the lore of the Fae and the intricacy of the world's situation. So I was glad to be building a better story. But, sometimes I like taking a break from the action while hiding in the library or on a beach with a Faerie prince. :)
How could the performance have been better?
I didn't like the narrator for this book at all. The southern American accent was off and the Irish accents were worse.
