This is just my opinion. This was the third book of hers that I decided to read. What I initially enjoyed about her and her stories was her energy. Her energy felt authentic, true, and positive. I understand that there is no such thing as perfect. As I read through her books and social media I started to question her authenticity. I started to believe that some things sounded too good to be true. After hearing that her and Dave were getting a divorce it automatically made me question everything that I consumed. I thought how could Rachel put on such a happy face and exude such positivity when in reality things were crumbling behind the scenes. First hearing that her and Dave were ending their marriage I tried to figure out how and why. When I heard that Rachel was dropping a new book entitled "DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING" I thought great she will share with her readers how a seemingly wonderful and perfect relationship between to great people could fall apart. Instead I believe this was a remix with minimal new insight. Again this is just my opinion coming from a 40 something African American Male in America. Thank you Rachel for being vulnerable and sharing with your readers.
