I read the Kindle version and well as listened to the Audible version. Both are excellent.

I believe what the author says is at least possible, and is very likely true. Excellent work, messaging, and presentation.

one of Eckhart's recordings has Hemi-Sync, the only item available on Audible that has it, so i assumed all of his recordings used Hemi-Sync (a braining entrainment process that entrains the left and right hemispheres). after purchase, i realized my error but reluctantly kept the audiobook.

i'm so glad i kept it! this recording is AMAZING! one thing is, i love the way he uses animals as examples. and then, he has these long pauses. i don't think he does it for effect, but the pauses are powerful, enigmatic. i need everything he talks about. the words compulsive mental noise couldn't apply to me more. and i even intellectually process what he says while hearing it during sleep for the first time. that has never happened (that i am aware of). and then he has this cute little pant-laugh that is all his own. 10 out of 10.

first of all, the narration didn't get in the way, no small feat. i have returned many Audible books because of the narrator adding to and thereby detracting from the Author's work. that didn't happen here.

i didn't start out expecting much, had few expectations, this being my first thing to read or listen to re: OOBE's (out of body experiences). like everybody else, i've heard them mentioned over time.

Monroe's experiences while out of body are completely different from past-life regressions and experiences between lives, of which i have read many. the interactions with ...spirit guides?...who assisted him in his out-of-body travels were enigmatic, to say the least, and had a congruence over time. in soul regressions between lives, in Michael Newton's books as just one example, the spirit guides interact personally with the souls they oversee. Monroe's travel guides, while there to help (sometimes, i guess when necessary?) seem unaffected by his experiences, even when he would call for help. they seemed more like robot entities or how you would expect androids with a function to perform, providing necessary technical assistance, no commeraderie. they seemed to be not-him or anything like him. maybe they were hands-off and (were supposed to?) let him figure things out by himself whenever he could, because he was able to, thank God. also, these were his experiences as written in notes in his own words afterwards. nobody was there guiding him through his experiences put into notes afterward, not a regressionist who walked him through recorded sessions. even the part that was good, when he found himself at Home, was not like any regression interviews i have ever read.

even though Monroe was seeking advice from and getting feedback after-the-fact from professional outside sources who mostly happened to also be friends, he actually walked himself through these constant episodes alone. this was his own, private journey in his own words.

before reading this, i had no ambivalence or concerns/fears about dying. now, i am ambivalent about the afterlife, because of the way he described his experiences, and the described states of some of the people he had encountered who had passed. there were no nightmare scenarios, well, there were a few, but for the most part, his experiences and representations of the afterlife were benign.

he had to control his thoughts when out of body, and i do know, personally, that over there, there is no thought-then-action. thought IS action: they exist as one, i.e., to think is to act or to cause action. so if Monroe had a superfluous, errant, undisciplined thought, it would take him to an unplanned place. he would find himself misidentified, in wrong places, and have to escape back to his own body! he would also draw unwelcome entities to him. for the most part, his OOBE travels seem to have been confined to lower planes, as opposed to where (i think) we go when we die. at least, that is what i hope.

this was an unforgettable listen, and i wonder if this review will even get published. am merely sharing my genuine reactions.

someone else, another therapist, probably a protoge, was part of the narrating. why is only Weiss' name listed?

I had heard of Mindfulness, pretty recently, within the past three years for the first time. I have tried to entertain its ideas a few times, and each time I have hit walls. Finally, from the very first words of this book, although I didn't buy it knowing that it was about Mindfulness, I realized that this was, at least more or less, where it was aiming. I didn't know how precisely it was about Mindfulness but I'm pretty sure it is totally about it.

I have had to listen again to the same few words to get anything from it, because I wasn't ready to internalize what Singer was saying. The only thing that even allows me to internalize any of it even after multiple listenings is a couple of years of energy healing workshops at a place called Healing Arts in Glendale Arizona. I was way out of my element in those workshops. I am a real world girl, only believing what I can see. Most of what I heard and learned about in the workshops went over my head. However, they gave me a frame of reference from which to semi-understand this book.

I have gleaned as much as I can at this time, and will continue to listen again and again until the ideas in it become internalized, and I thank God, literally, for the energy healing workshops that I attended which eventually make a future understanding of the ideas presented in this book possible.

there is a certain amount of irony to all of this that I can't explain in this review, because it is too personal. Suffice it to say that this book is part of an overall life change and has already helped me immensely combined with helping me to process what I learned from two-plus years of energy healing workshops.

Audible is using the same set of reviews for this book that are used for Jesus and the Essenes. check it out.

the narration for questioner and answerer should either be performed by different people, or should be distinguished literally between questions and answers. it would sound stilted but would clarify who is talking. Dolores: .... Spirit: .... it would remove the ambiguity.

i returned this book and repurchased it as a Kindle ebook because of the narration. i always fall asleep while reading or listening, and i awakened from this book feeling irritated and exhausted. listening while awake for five minutes settled out why. it was because of the effort required to figure out who is talking.

little doubt it will be a great read on kindle.

i will be giving this book as a gift to some. the voice issue of the male performer didn't bother me, at least no more than portraits of Jesus as a Caucasian have long concerned me, as he was born and grew up in the Middle East, so surely he didn't look Caucasian. i am White, and am not into Identity Politics, but am a proponent of accurate representations. so the disagreement about the male voice having a southern accent is merely a continuation of a typical religious misrepresentation. religion is personal and is equated, apparently, with familiar physical characteristics to relate to it better, for whomever is telling the story. but the complaints did prepare me for the voice discrepancy, and that is, perhaps, the reason it didn't bother me at all. the words of the story are what matters and not who spoke them. the idea of Jesus and what He represented is what matters and not what he looks like in portraits.

Dolores Cannon was obviously a sincere and gifted person for whom Truth was the goal. i sensed no personal vanity or agenda in her writing, only sincerity of purpose. i will not unfold her story behind Jesus and the Essenes in my review, because reading it was such a gift that others should experience as it unfolds for them. it goes beyond the Cayce Readings, serves to explain and add credence to the Cayce Readings, as a sort of overarching umbrella under which the Cayce Readings make sense. it all makes so much more sense to me now. God Bless Dolores Cannon. i thank her from the bottom of my heart, and plan to read more of her books, as well as the books she suggested in the last segment/chapter of this book. i am also hoping that every one of her books will be made available in both ebook and audiobook format.

my impression while listening was that this was made for the purpose of marketing a sort of dream interpretation and life skills series through a company called Nightingale Conant. had i not gotten this free through an Audiobook trial, i would definitely try to get my money back, as i feel used as a listener, and may still, approach Amazon about it. it is a fine thing to do to advertise, but it needs to be done straight out.

Edgar Cayce on Reincarnation and Family Karma by Todeschi is marvelous. less than a week after purchase, it is already life-changing for me. Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records by Todeschi was a harder read for me, didn't resonate as well. i wanted to get a better sense of the Akashic Records from Todeschi as he appears to be a knowledgeable guide to Cayce's words and intent. now, in all fairness, Cayce's name is not in the title of this audiobook. there were no reviews to read, that i saw, and it was wrong for me to assume that this would be in the same spirit as the other two Todeschi books that i purchased.

i will still be purchasing other books of Todeschi on "Edgar Cayce on ..." different topics addressed in the readings. and Mr. Todeschi, good luck with your Nightingale Conant endeavor. if i am ever in the market for something like dream interpretation, i will give the Nightingale Conant website and products a chance. right now, i just want to hear about the Edgar Cayce readings in pure form, for their own sake.
