A disappointment

I have never written a bad review on a Jodi Picoult book. She is a favorite author of mine. However the last few books she has written I have not cared for What about the books like Nineteen Minutes, Perfect Match, Lone Wolf and Leaving Time. I loved them all until the author started to experiment with styles, etc. I miss the old Jodi! if you're reading this Jodi how about going back to what really worked? Please?! For your fans that have been with you since book one.

Good realistic story

Good but lots and lots of sex!!

Even though the relationship may have been exactly as written there certainly are ways it could have been written in a less graphic way. And if the core and essence of their relationship was based on sex it never would have survived. Eventually all relationships move to a more balanced state. At 21 H didn't yet have the maturity to understand that and was very focused on what HE wanted. There were three people in this relationship but he never saw beyond himself and his needs. He certainly has the potential to be a wonderful partner but he has a lot of growing up to do first. She knew all this and in her heart knew from the very beginning that it could not and would not last. Sad ending, but anything else would have made it a fairy tale. She kept it real and I admire her honesty.

A Favorite!

One of my top three books by the author. This is my third listen and it gets better and a bit more "too good to be true" with each listen. But that's okay, fairy tails are like that, read through the filter of age. I still learn from it each time, and that after all is why I love reading her books. That and her ability to make the flowers in her garden so beautiful and real that when I close my eyes I can actually smell them. Oh how I do love this book!

This is an amazing book, one I can't wait to read again! It feels like there is more to be learned and it is a wonderful journey, chapter after chapter. I stayed up all night and hated to reach the ending!

Colleen Hoover NEVER disappoints. This is yet another wonderful drama + romance that will keep you reading into the night. You want to know how it ends, and when it does you don't want it to be over.

Really very GOOD!

One of the best books I've read in a while. It had me flipping pages and up all night just to finish it and that never happens to me. It is also an educational read, because while it is fiction this did happen! So read this book! I can't image why you wouldn't love it too. ☺

I have waited for this book for so long, especially after reading a descriptive summary about it months ago. Although i have not quite finished it i had to write a review to share with others how wonderful a book it is. I don't know if everyone will like it as much as I have. I really hope you all do!

I have not had covid but had an limb amputation after developing a severe antibiotic-resistant infection. I was in a medically induced coma for 3 weeks, in the ICU for 2, and had rehab for another 2 weeks. My dreams were not light but very dark. That Jodi chose to write about this subject and Covid 19 has been very helpful. She is my all time favorite author and that's saying a lot since I am 66 and a voracious reader.

I can not recommend this book highly enough. I am going to go back and read it again, and probably again later. Jodi's books always take one thing and focus in and then out, looking at a subject from this perspective and than that. I have learned so much from reading her books, and this book is the same and more. Other authors I read just don't accomplish this, not even close.

Read this book! It is just so darn good! I hope that you enjoy it just ss much. ☺

Call me Disappointed!

From story to narration a super letdown! I waited for this book for so long, the author had enough time to do a better job on this one. She used the same lines for different characters (ie when referring to love). It was hard to follow (who was who/who was talking) because she didn't build them enough to begin with. And the going between years made it so much worse. What is the reason for the back and forth. And the times, what was that all about? Narration made it hard to keep track of who was talking. it ended up being just so confusing! Grade I'd give it? I'll be generous and rate it a C.
