I did not appreciate the romance drivel, but that’s not the norm as I’m pretty sure lots of girls will love it (I can’t count how many times I warned her not to let him in lol). I definitely appreciated the historical appeal as I was very young when that war was going on and not aware of how dreadful vets were treated on their return to the states. Makes me ashamed to be an American.

Great Fictional Truth

I was swept up from the very beginning with this novel. It is a good writer who has us directing a “movie” right inside our minds as the words are spoken. This story touches all our senses, without taking us too far over that horrific abyss that is war. Kudos to the writer for creating a historical novel that is quite believable.

Characters were great

Story is too dark and depressing. I’m throwing this one back. But the characters themselves kept my interest for about 6 chapters until the mother turned into some sort of Medusa lol

Breath of Fresh Air

This is the first book in a very long time that I “couldn’t put down”. All characters were likable/built well and the storyline was unique enough to stand out from other time travel novels.

Time travel romance

Though this book is similar in nature to all other ones in its genre, it held my interest to the end. If you are looking for twists and turns, venture elsewhere as the story goes easily without much turmoil at all. Just a clean read of a love found.

Just Imagine

I loved, loved, loved this book. The idea behind it (that you can communicate with someone who has departed) was fresh and new...and had my imagination working overtime. I was so sad that the book had to end.
