This book was at the same time; funny, thoughtful, sometimes heart breaking, and always full of hope.

The varying perspectives give a whole new depth to this already vivid world and it's inhabitants. The narrators nailed their performances.

All around a wonderful read.

Extremely Dark and sexually charged

To start, overall I did enjoy the book.

But, it is definitely not for everyone.
This is a dark, dark story of a gay necrophiliac serial killer. it is also a statement on HIV and AIDS, and oddly enough, a love story. A few love stories actually.

Overall I enjoyed the book, it told a very interesting story with some very colorful characters. I had to stop and revaluate my listening choices. I consume a lot of dark materials, and this is up there.

Beautifully Written and Heartbreaking

Jennette McCurdy blew me away with her concise, deeply personal story telling. With the passages written as though they were written in realtime, I felt as though I was reading passages from her diary. She doesn't put on airs or try to make anything to be darker or more glamorous, she just tells her story as she experienced it.

I really appreciated that this was HER story, not a scandalous tell-all filled with gossip and speculation.

I loved this book and couldn't stop listening. The chapters were short but everything word had a purpose. It was so easy to get into and invested because there wasn't filler and fluff. This book was real and raw and I have no doubt it will make a lasting impression on everyone who reads it.

I loved this book. it was twisty but not overly predictable. I cannot properly review this without spoilers. this was a great listen, one of my favorite books I have read so far this year. bravo.

I could not stop listening. The perspective of the story being told from Elsa's letter to her husband regarding their son gave it such a personal touch.

Quick and fun read for FANF fans

These stories were quick and fun to read. definitely not ground breaking literature, and clearly intended for a younger audience (teenagers). Still, I am glad to have read it. They are very parable like in that each of them has a moral one should take with them at the end.

Well written, heartfelt, and suspenseful

I loved this book and cannot wait to read more of Karen Slaughter ( which is such a great pen name!). The prologue had me hooked and it didn't slow down in pace. The characters were all well developed with well thought out relationships and connections. This book had me smirking from the cleverness and wit of the dialogue and at times heartbroken from their trials and tribulations. The balance between the two stopped it from being melodramatic or disingeniuen.
Would highly recommend to anyone who likes crime and suspense novels.
