Great story (books 1 & 2) with interesting developments and potential for plenty more. Very well voiced & acted with unique characters.
Nice to have a story with a strong female character with minimal romance.
The LitRPG elements are well integrated into the world and not a major factor.

Simple story & characters

Like? Yhe setting & some of the technical sci fi elements. Easy to listen to, though MC voice was different at the beginning and end of most chapters.
Dislike? Very patriotical story & view point. MC ignores any social issues and the girls work it out in his favour anyway. In fact, the MC had very little in the way of setbacks and managed to complete things in record time. Any wider implications of the story and setting were just ignored by the author and the characters. No character development.
Overall Disappointing.

Very slow start for a heist story but soon gets intriguing

Slow & somewhat depressing start, but worth continuing to the end. Performance of the different characters is very good and they develop nicely as the story progresses. Good amount of depth revealed slowly to the world and the plot. Starting in the 2nd novel now.

Really enjoyable space opera, each novel is opening up new vistas that could support a whole series. I also appreciate the humour and different characters, and that there are positive developments along the way, rather than things getting relentlessly worse before they get better.

Thoughtful, paced story with plenty of Sci-Fi

Story was a little slow in the middle with lots of struggle, but a great and interesting setup and plot on the beginning, nice characters and some good but not too heavy world building. The ending transforms the plot and doesn't end where many would with the discovery but goes into the implications and consequences. I will be looking for more from this author!

Voice acting is fine

Voice acting is fine, but it may annoy some. I found it was clear and good to fall asleep to in any case! Subject dealt with well with an insight to the field and fieldwork, not just facts and discoveries.
I will be listening to this book again.

A great follow up

Fantastic story, broader in scope and more linear. The author does really capture an sense of alieness and difficulty of communication with the 'other' well. And as before, I loved the narrator, she does other accents & voices well, and send perfectly suited to the story.
