Historia
One of the most cunning and merciless officers of the First Order, Captain Phasma commands the favor of her superiors, the respect of her peers, and the terror of her enemies. But for all her renown, Phasma remains as virtually unknown as the impassive expression on her gleaming chrome helmet. Now, an adversary is bent on unearthing her mysterious origins - and exposing a secret she guards as zealously and ruthlessly as she serves her masters.

Phasma is fantastic!
Revisado: 07-10-18
This is a great story on the beginnings of Phasma. They should make this into a film to be honest. After listening to her story and how she fought from scratch on her home planet makes me want to see it on the big screen. To be honest, after listening to this and re-watching the new movies, you will think they made a joke out of her character and it deserves more justice. Phasma is a badass. One of my favorite Star Wars Audiobooks up there with Thrawn and Plagieus.

Thrawn is a BAD dude. Great SW listen.
Revisado: 07-10-18
This is the "genesis" of Thrawn. It is a great story how he rose to power within the Empire. His monologues to begin every chapter are amazing and worth re-listening sometimes. The voice acting for him is superb. The battle scenes keep you at the edge of your seat to see how he handles his next move on the chess board. Watching Star Wars Rebels got me really into this character who I am glad to see become official canon. Thrawn is one of my favorite Star Wars Audiobooks to date.

Historia
It's one of the galaxy's most dangerous secrets: a mysterious transmitter with unknown power and a reward for its discovery that most could only dream of claiming. But those who fly the Millennium Falcon throughout its infamous history aren't your average scoundrels. Not once, but twice, the crew of the Falcon tries to claim the elusive prize - first, Lando Calrissian and the droid L3-37 at the dawn of an ambitious career, and later, a young and hungry Han Solo with the help of his copilot, Chewbacca.

Solid Experience for any SW fan.
Revisado: 06-27-18
You go back and forth between younger Han and Lando to post Battle of Endor Han and Lando. Han is raising Ben with Leia, and Lando is still doing Lando stuff. Anyway, they go on this adventure to find this particular device that has incredible power. They keep flashing back and forth between the past which sets up to the present in the story. I thought that some of the voice overs were done spectacularly. The only thing holding back the performance was that of the narrator who consistently spoke for the past who sounded like he was just reading it. Great background behind L3 leading into Solo and I will have more of an appreciation for her and Lando next time I see them on screen. Solid audiobook and nice compliment to the Solo movie and for any Star Wars fan.

Historia
As the Empire reels from its critical defeats at the Battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance—now a fledgling New Republic—presses its advantage by hunting down the enemy’s scattered forces before they can regroup and retaliate. But above the remote planet Akiva, an ominous show of the enemy’s strength is unfolding. Out on a lone reconnaissance mission, pilot Wedge Antilles watches Imperial Star Destroyers gather like birds of prey circling for a kill, but he’s taken captive before he can report back to the New Republic leaders.

Hardcore fans only. Not the best.

Taking place just after the fall of the Empire (return of the jedi).....This was a story within many stories about several different characters, none of which you will be familiar until they all tie together in the end. The plot was good, but because of so many different characters in the beginning switching out I almost needed a notebook to see who was doing what the last time I had listened. The story really came together later on when several of the characters joined forces or were in the same room to make it easier to follow and understand. I guess the only thing I wish or was looking for was a lynch pin between the Empire and the First Order and how that all started. Did not get it here. Oh well, hopefully Wendig has a solid follow up to this one.

This sets up how Palpatine became Palpatine. The story telling is excellent and really sets up how the Empire became the empire more than even episode 1. You very much have an understanding of Emperor Palpatine's line "Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plageuis the wise?"
