Captivating from cover to cover. The character development kept me wanting more as they grew and morphed over the course of the story

I love how Mark writes. It’s a book I’ll refer back to over the years as it paints a picture of finding meaning and freedom in life through choosing constraints.

This book has helpful guidance to spiritual and emotional maturity. It would benefit everyone to read and reflect on it. I’ll be reading it several times each year just for reinforcement.

So many valuable lessons in this book. It helps establish healthy boundaries, corrective protocols when something isn’t working, and how to end things well so they become a learning tool (not just unhealthy baggage)!

The use of quotes and colloquialisms in the book made it feel like a comedy routine and was hard to get past. The points made were understandable and given great context. It is a learned taste, like alcohol or cilantro, to truly enjoy this book.

This book is instrumental in helping anyone trying to make sense of their emotions and behaviors that are holding them back. As a therapist it is helpful in reminding me that all of our emotions are held in the body not the mind and unless I work with this I am doing a disservice to my clients.

Within the research and practical action steps of this book, not only am I living a better life being present in what I’m desiring to do but also with the people I want to do it with. Helpful parenting advice backed by psychology and research. A must read for anyone wanting more than mediocre distractions from life.
