Historia
You are a mind reader, born with an extraordinary ability to understand what others think, feel, believe, want, and know. It's a sixth sense you use every day, in every personal and professional relationship you have. At its best, this ability allows you to achieve the most important goal in almost any life: connecting, deeply and intimately and honestly, to other human beings. At its worst, it is a source of misunderstanding and unnecessary conflict, leading to damaged relationships and broken dreams. How good are you at knowing the minds of others?

Insightful

This audiobook is a terrific listen (read?) for those interested in communications and psychology. I had to rewind a couple times to ensure I fully understood some aspects, but otherwise, the author and reader explained the cocnepts well

Historia
Danica Roem made national headlines when—as a transgender former frontwoman for a metal band and a political newcomer—she unseated Virginia's most notoriously anti-LGBTQ 26-year incumbent Bob Marshall as state delegate. But before Danica made history, she had to change her vision of what was possible in her own life. Doing so was a matter of storytelling: During her campaign, Danica hired an opposition researcher to dredge up every story from her past that her opponent might seize on to paint her negatively.

Highly recommend, especially for Virginia politicos
Revisado: 06-25-24
I love anything related to Virginia politics, so this was going to receive five stars regardless, but Danica did a great job sharing her underdog journey to the legislature and stories from her time as a delegate!

More military-centric than anything else
Revisado: 06-06-24
Too much military talk for my interest. I wanted to learn more about his political career and campaigns.

Incredible story read by an incredible leader
Revisado: 08-26-23
Outstanding story of Virginia’s glass-shattering Lieutenant Governor written and read in a way that feels like she’s speaking to you, not just reading lines from her book. Go Winsome!
