The book was my first Zuri Day book. Overall I enjoyed the story but I needed more from the main character when dealing with her parents, especially her mother, but also with her interactions with her son's father. Cynthia was so well spoken and sophisticated and was all about her business when dealing with business but she didn't really "deal with" her mother's handling of her life and her son's future. Also, it was hard to believe that she would consider being with the man who ruined her life and lied to her just to now, all of a sudden, give her son his father who had been absent all of his life. That part was just crazy to me!

Whiny female lead and not so good narration

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes because it advanced the sweet magnolia's story but the female lead was bi-polar so most of the story was not enjoyable

Would you be willing to try another book from Sherryl Woods? Why or why not?

Yes because I loved the other sweet magnolia's and their stories.

Janette seemed sweet, intelligent and strong in her brief interactions in the first three books. She was all over the place in this book. She was bitchy to her boss, bitchy to a guy that she had just met and was supposed to be attracted to and then she had the nerve to be jealous of him after letting him know that she wasn't interested. And he did come on totally too strong but some of that was because she would flirt with him and then push him away and no one understood why most of the time, least of all him. At one point, I wanted him to just give Mary Vaughn a try rather than keep putting up with her irrational behavior!

Yes, because it was not what I expected.

Don't want to spoil any part of the story for anyone else.

What about Kevin T. Collins’s performance did you like?

He was very passionate and his voice was very distinctive.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The part of the book that particularly moved me was when Macon was willing to give his life in order for his neice to live in peace and happiness.

No. The main character has the morals of a saint but is so easily corrupted and then seems to lose it by seeing and talking to ghosts......totally unbelievable.

Exciting Story Leading Up to a Predictable Ending

Captivating, Exciting, Thrilling

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades Freed?

One of the most memorable moments was when Ana delivered the news that she was pregnant.

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

I thought she had good vocal tone and inflection during her performance.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Parts of this book made me laugh and parts made me cry.

The entire Fifty Shades story was fresh, interesting, and very entertaining! I liked the development of the characters, but some of the details I could have done without. However, I would have liked for the story of the wedding to be better detailed. Though the ending was predictable, all of the crooks and emotional turns that the story and characters underwent made it hard to stop listening and left me wanting to know more about their future together. Me personally, I think there should be at least one more Fifty Shades book told entirely from Christian's point of view!
