Hard to follow along
Revisado: 10-27-24
Narrator has a lot of room to develop their style. It was hard to tell which ‘generation’ of women we were following in the story. Story was hard to follow and felt like all characters were quite juvenile. Had to stop more than halfway through due to confusing story characters and poor narration. No real changes for each person in the story.
Was really hoping this would be a good book - story as I really like some of her other series books.

Revisado: 10-22-24
With the premise of the “reality show” I was waiting for all the drama…….there was none until the end. Lauren story was cute and heartwarming. Lisa will she ever shake Violet?

Zero stars?
Revisado: 08-08-24
This is horrible - the storyline is very bizarre. The narration is not there at all. Ugh.
There are way too many odd things in this story that does not make sense. The author boss that can’t function without her assistant - the parent that hoards books thinking they still teach - the mother that does not want to be a mother. I had to stop listening nothing made sense and I don’t want to wait for the end of the confusion. No thanks. Hope audible gives me my credit back.

Rollercoaster of emotions
Revisado: 12-29-23
The story kept my attention but I was a bit put off by the harshness of some of the voices. Kudos though as there were a lot of characters and voices.
At times the story was hard to follow and I had to back up to regroup. It is a long story. So parts were predictable and others were not. But all emotions are touched in this story. I will listen to it again.

Written in 1997 - lots of life changes from then to 2023
Revisado: 12-17-23
Got this as a free book - did not know this was written in 1997 until the end. Society and culture changes in 25 years, some parts can be off putting to some. Lots of family dynamics amid lots of love. The beginning was a bit wordy and slow. The end is much better and the storyline moves along without dragging.

Interesting, intriguing and confusing
Revisado: 12-15-23
I was interested in this book because it was on Nantucket. I was intrigued by this book because I needed some Christmas inspiration. I was confused by this book by the slowness of the storyline and why it seemed to take so long to get to the point.
Too much arguing - too much drama. Get to the point…. At the end they did I had to listen to,some chapters more than once cause I lost track of the story.

Running their aunt’s beachfront bed-and-breakfast in Sandcastle, Texas, is just the thing to shake things up…though their lives spin out of control in more ways than one when a hurricane barrels into the coastline. It’s a miracle it didn’t carry them off to Kansas. Not so lucky are the assisted-living center and a small eclectic group of local folks who take shelter with the cousins.

Slow

Slow story very very slow. Narrator sounds like a 13 year old not a lot of ability to change between characters. Stopped at chapter 4 just can’t continue for me.

Historia
When they were growing up, Dana, Harper, and Tawny thought of themselves as “sometimes sisters". They connected only during the summer month they’d all spend at their grandmother’s rustic lakeside resort in north Texas. But secrets started building, and ten years have passed since they’ve all been together - in fact, they’ve rarely spoken, and it broke their grandmother’s heart.

Historia
Leaving one widow behind is unfortunate. Leaving three widows behind is just plain despicable. Oil heiress Kate Steele knew her not-so-dearly departed husband was a con man, but she's shocked that Conrad racked up two more wives without divorcing her first. The only remnant of their miserable marriage she plans to keep is their lakeside cabin in Bootleg, Texas. Unfortunately, she's not the only woman with that idea.

Cute story - a bit slow at times
Revisado: 08-29-23
A story about three women - all “unknowingly married” to the same scammer. I kept waiting for more intrigue about the murder but that didn’t happen until the end. The main story about these three women and the relationships the develop was good, predictable. At the end each
