Historia
When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...

Historia
For his victims, for their families and for the investigators tasked with finding him, the senselessness and brutality of the Golden State Killer's acts were matched only by the powerlessness they felt at failing to uncover his identity. Then, on April 24, 2018, authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo at his home in Citrus Heights, Calif., based on DNA evidence linked to the crimes. Amazingly, it seemed, evil finally had a name. Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

I’m in awe at the tenacity and strength of, not only the victims of this cockroach, but the team of investigators who have put their hearts and souls into ridding the public of a dangerous killer. This audiobook includes the voices of the victims and their families, a well as the voices of the the main actors in this true crime story. Well done.

Historia
From the day it was stolen from me, I dreamed of recapturing Bebbanburg. The great fort had been built on a rock that was almost an island. It was massive; it could be approached only on land by a single narrow track; and it was mine. Britain is in a state of uneasy peace. Northumbria's Viking ruler, Sigtryggr, and Mercia's Saxon queen, Aethelflaed, have agreed to a truce. And so England's greatest warrior, Uhtred of Bebbanburg, at last has the chance to take back the home his traitorous uncle stole from him so many years ago.

Historia
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

Ms. Pike is absolutely perfect!!
Revisado: 12-28-15
This is a story I read every year at least. Rosalind Pike has given it a liveliness and bright tone that I've never experienced from this novel before. It goes without saying that Jane Austen is superb, but she gives it just the right touch. Highly recommended!

Revisado: 10-08-15
I love Angel Crawford. She is a kickass hilarious character that takes no BS!
Although, I missed the tribe interactions of the previous books, Angel had to take a detour to deal with her own stuff, with a little zombie espionage on the side.
As someone who has dealt with addiction (the real monster in this book), the excuses and internal dialogue of an addict are spot on! Good job.
This narrator does a perfect job and captures Louisiana voices perfectly. (I live quite close to my LA neighbors).

Bit of a slow start, but that's Anne Rice.
Revisado: 08-26-15
This is another great story by Rice. I love her characters and this new take on the legends of werewolves. Somehow, she makes things like supernatural creatures seem plausible, like they're lurking out there hidden from human view. Vampires, spirits, mummies, and now werewolves.
The only issue I have with Rice is that some of her newest writing is so descriptive that it outstrips the story. It can take her 4 paragraphs to say something that would take most writers one. If you don't like slow moving novels, this isn't for you, but her writing is mellifluous and macabre. She has always made me feel as if I'm in a Victorian horror tale that is both beautiful and deadly at the same time.
If you love Rice the way I do, this is another book to add to your collection.
