Didn't work for me

I'm not that deep into history, so it was something of a stretch to think I'd like this one. However, Gettysburg was a pretty big deal and the book was free, so I thought I'd give it a try.

The story and narration were okay I guess, but I just couldn't get myself to stay with it.

Bottom line, if you're not into history you probably won't enjoy this book. If you're into history, it might be a good one and it's probably worth your time to try it.

Gone was my interest

The story started out well enough - not very original, but not terrible. What was terrible was the character development. Totally predictable and unlikeable characters wandering around doing stupid things during the end of the world.

Even though this is a free book, I recommend not wasting your time on it.

A compelling story of one man's spiritual journey

This is a fascinating and touching story told well by the man who lived it. Quresh shares what it's like to grow up Muslim in the US and helps those of us who know little of Islam better understand that religion and the people who follow it.

Strongly recommended for anyone of faith who genuinely wants to learn about the Muslim faith and how it relates to Christianity.

Not what it promises

Too much of the narrator, not enough of the sharks. If you want insights and information from the sharks, you're better off watching the show.

Why would anyone listen to this???

Susie Bright is perhaps one of the most dull and uninteresting people I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. From almost her first statement, I found her completely and entirely lacking. It would be more exciting to hear a tennis ball roll into a ditch than listen to Bright talk about almost anything.

I was completely uninterested in the characters from the first paragraph. Yes, it had some early action and yes it had me wondering what was going on; but I was never involved in teh story and couldn't get myself to continue listening.

A great between-the-seasons story!

The perfect story for listening between seasons 2 and 3, it continues where season 2 ends and tells what happened before season 3 begins. Lewis tells the story perfectly so you're completely ready for the first episode of the next season.

Even if you've watched season 3 (and beyond), this is an excellent listen. Highly recommeded for Homeland fans, if you're not a Homeland fan you won't have any idea what's going on.

Stiller nails it!

This is a great performance of Thurber's story. Stiller does a great job portraying Mitty's odd and captivating world. Whether you see the movie or not, I recommend listening to this audio story.

Not worth the price

Yes, this book costs nothing to download. But it does cost the time it takes to get through it. Unless you're a true history buff, or entirely hooked on the JFK shooting I doubt you'll want to dedicate that much time. I didn't.

Interesting and informative

Anderson has an interesting take on "free" that is sometimes dead-on and sometimes off-target. Overall, he does a good job describing the different approaches to "free" and gives a good argument for using "free" to grow sales. At times he tips over into fantasy land, but the bulk of this book is informative and well worth the listen.

Plus, it's free...
