Historia
The system was simple. Everyone understood it. Books were for burning, along with the houses in which they were hidden. Guy Montag was a fireman whose job it was to start fires, and he enjoyed his job. He had been a fireman for 10 years, and never questioned the pleasure of the midnight runs, nor the joy of watching pages consumed by flames. He never questioned anything, until he met a 17-year-old girl who told him of a past when people were not afraid, and a professor who told him of a future in which people could think. Guy Montag suddenly realized what he had to do.

Best book I ever read
Revisado: 10-10-10
This book is one of the most importend book I ever read. It tells a story about an America where intellectual are outlawed, books burned, free thought oppressed. Manipulation through media and tv, and censorship. It also looks at changing history. And altering writing.
I find this very interesting, especially here on Audible. With all their abridged books they are certainly promoting censorship against their customers.

Best book on the subject
Revisado: 09-20-10
The book is the best book about the Third Reich i ever read. It grabs you from the first chapter. It tells a story from the point of view of someone who was present at the time. Who experienced the Reich at first hand. Every (almost) statement has been verified from official papers.
I can only recommend it in the highest praise.

Instead he found himself in the village of his childhood, at the service of a veterinary surgeon whose operating theater was rapidly acquiring an unwanted reputation as an abattoir. The sudden unexplained death of a string of valuable racehorses from one small area in Gloucestershire was a mystery the police couldn't solve. But Darwin was local. He remembered people and what was at stake. And now he knew enough to get himself killed.

Horses that dies
Revisado: 09-27-07
As many others I believed that horses and novell's about them were mainly for girls. But this book is definetly not. It can of course be read by them, but not solely by them. Well, now to the book.
The book is a mystery-novell, in a british veterinary-clinic. Horses are dying on the table and a young veterinarian is being blamed for it. Now it is all up to Peter Darwin, an employe with the foreign-office. to help his new friend in uncover the mystery. As he gets deeper into the mystery, he finds out that it is not acidentially, but intentionally. Someone wants the clinic to close down. But who is it and why. Danger comes closer as does the answer to the riddle.
The book is exiting and well written. You get drawn into the world of horses and murder. The carecters are interesting, and the dept of them is very good. you are hooked from ten minutes in and all the way to the end.

Historia
The setting is Hong Kong, 1963. The action spans scarcely more than a week, but these are the days of high adventure, from kidnapping and murder to financial double-dealing and natural catastrophes: fire, flood, and landslide. Yet they are days filled as well with all the mystery and romance of Hong Kong, the heart of Asia, rich in every trade: money, flesh, opium, power.

Great reading
Revisado: 09-19-07
The book takes up big buisness in the 60's Hong Kong. One of the largest companies in the city, is being threatened by its compeditors, and the Tai-Pan (CEO) of the company has to involve himself in the politics between England and China. Between politics, buisness and secret agents you get a great novel with everything you could wish fore.

Terror in the deep
Revisado: 03-22-07
This is truely a great book. When you start reading it is very hard to put it down again before the end. The writer catches you from the first line, and then you are cauth in the deep. It is the story of a doctor going to a secure military facility to counteract a disease that are sweping through the facility. When he gets down below the ocean he finds out, that not all is what it seemes onboard the base. I will not go into the story and telling you the outcome, it is only fit to say that suddenly the safety of the entire facility is placed on his shoulders. The way that the facility and the people are describet is very compelling. the author is giving a insight into the thoughts of the main carecters, withch is rerely seen in this kind of novel. I was very much in daught wheather to give it 4 or 5 stars. I decided to give it 4 because there are some places through out the book, where there are to long sequences, that should be shortened. Not many, and as I said it was a difficult choise. But don't take my word for it, give it a chance and judge for yourself.

a dogs tale
Revisado: 03-14-07
The book of the 101 dalmatians, surprised me as I read it. It is rather different then the movies, and not just for the better. Mostly it is a good book, where the dogs tale unfold for your eyes. The story is quite more detailed and emotionel then the movies. Yet, here you follow the dogs, not the humans.
I miss the scenes with the brothers chase of the puppies, and all the accidents and hardship they endure.
This is the part I miss, and that is why I only give it 3 stars.
Do not misunderstand, it is indeed a good book, that deserves to be read.

Balancing the comic and bizarre with the genuinely frightening and disturbing, Next shatters our assumptions and reveals shocking new choices where we least expect.

Genetic confusion
Revisado: 02-01-07
This novel, dicusses the subjet of manipulation of geens. But this is not really a novel, but rather a colletion of short stories on this subjet. It lacks a story to follow. Very informative, but there are to many different stories, since they do not intertwine.
