Great performance as Elizabeth I
Revisado: 03-08-24
Loved this performance - the narrator captured the essence of Elizabeth I with wonder. The story is a bit slow and tedious, but overall captures her life and relationships well.

Historia
In 2014, Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes was widely seen as the next Steve Jobs: a brilliant Stanford dropout whose startup “unicorn” promised to revolutionize the medical industry with its breakthrough device, which performed the whole range of laboratory tests from a single drop of blood. Backed by investors such as Larry Ellison and Tim Draper, Theranos sold shares in a fundraising round that valued the company at more than $9 billion, putting Holmes’s worth at an estimated $4.5 billion.

A view from a Woman in Tech Startups
Revisado: 05-09-19
What a gripping story. I’ve been fascinated with the Holmes story from the moment I saw her face grace the cover of Forbes. “A woman! A unicorn, making it in Silicon Valley!” I thought....I was thrilled to have an “against the odds” story to reference. I guess some things are too good to be true.
