Historia
Beckett Rousseau is the firstborn son of one of New Orleans’ most prominent families. He’s the quintessential golden boy—great looks, money, and a political career in his future—until his wife murders him. Or at least that’s what everyone thinks. Athena Durand is still reeling from her murder conviction, but now that it’s overturned, she’s at a loss on how to proceed with her life. As long as people still believe she’s guilty, she has no future in Louisiana and more importantly, she wants to know who killed her husband.

Consistently good

Enjoyed as much as the first book; which doesn’t happen very often for me. Excited for the new one in the series.

There's always fun to be had on a ghoul's night out. By day, Larue Donavan is a down-to-earth bookstore owner. But by night, she's a world-renowned psychic investigator dedicated to helping lost spirits find peace. Dead people won't leave her alone and Abraham Lincoln thinks he's in charge of her lovelife. Could've been better

I love the genre and the paranormal elements. I have read other books by this author and appreciated her humor and characters. This was like a soup that never boiled. All of the ingredients were there but without the heat to pull them together, it wasn't palatable. Maybe the rest of the series will add the flavor.

Wonderfully sweet.

I absolutely connected with the characters and the muti-generational perspectives. I've been and had that teenager and now have been and had that older adult.
