Historia
Keane Morgan wouldn't return any of my calls or texts, and I was pissed as hell about it. I didn't want to drive from Seattle to L.A. with the guy any more than he wanted to drive with me, but I had no frickin' choice in the matter - at least, not if I wanted to use his brother Dax's coveted parking spot at UCLA. Okay, so it turned out Keane was objectively gorgeous, and, fine, pretty funny, too. But did he have to be so damned in love with himself? I mean, jeez, the cocky way he flashed those dimples was just so orchestrated.

Sex, Love, hilarity
Who was your favorite character and why?
Keane is an obnoxious, hilarious, hot protangonist

His voice is super sexy, and both performed well.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The end was awesome!
Any additional comments?
I met the author at a book event and saw so many readers squealing when they met her that I had to give her book a shot. This book had all the right elements for me: great chemistry, fun realistic characters, witty hilarious dialogue, and a great believable story. The authors writing is quick and fun and leaves you dying to know more. I found myself cleaning the house (yuck!) just so I could keep listening rather than doing my own writing! And really hot sex! I'm on my second time through the book, ya' know just in case I missed something.

Which character – as performed by Rob Saladino – was your favorite?
Kage
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
I rarely read books in this genre but I really enjoyed the quick pace and snappy dialogue. The story left me wanting to know more about what will happen to the characters, and understand the things about magic that the characters themselves do not yet understand. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Months later Kramer and his new friend, Shadow, are back home in California, recuperating from serious injuries received in a deadly ambush by the Taliban.

A look into a brutal form of organized crime
Revisado: 06-14-16
Would you listen to The Pits again? Why?
Yes. The story was good enough that I want to go back to hear what I may have missed.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Pits?
The dog fighting scenes
Which character – as performed by Kevin M. Connolly – was your favorite?
Kramer
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The almost sex scene!
Any additional comments?
This novel shed light on a subject that was not well known to me in an entertaining way. The main character, Kramer, is a captain in the Marines , but his need to be the perfect soldier is overshadowed by his love of dogs. Kramer finds himself investigating organized dog fighting in the US when he returns from Afghanistan, with an Afghan dog named Shadow in tow. There were good, well described action scenes, an enough intrigue to draw me into the next book in the series. I purchased the Audiobook version and was very impressed with the quality of the product and narration.
