Ok, that opening scene with the rotisserie chicken had me cracking up! It wasn’t just what happened, it was his inner dialogue that kept me laughing! Pippa Grant always has great pets in the stories and Jessica was no exception… I loved her petty ways of putting men in their place! The side characters were great (except for the ex best friend) and they all kept me entertained during this fast romance. Kit Swann and Connor Crais did a great job narrating!

This book is the best of both worlds, the Copper Valley Fireballs and the Copper Valley Thrusters! I loved the all the side characters that we met in previous books, it’s one big dysfunctional, glitter bombing family! As with most Pippa Grant books, I was breaking out in laughter while I was listening, the tea date chaperones and the group honeymoon were my favorites! Duncan was all in with Addie, which was completely swoon worthy, while Addie felt she had more to prove professionally. She slowly let her guard down and I loved the real glimpses and sassy banter she would let fly! The narration was great for these characters and their ability to deliver Pippa Grants humor was perfection!

This was a really cute and easy fake dating romance. It was pretty much insta-love (like less than 2 weeks) but everything was so light hearted that I loved it. There was a lot of small town charm (I loved all the side characters) with only a little of the obnoxiousness… the judgmental opinions didn’t even last a few days, except for Denise but I don’t count her because she annoyed me throughout. The narration was perfect, I loved that Andi Arndt was even mentioned for her awesome narration skills in the story!

Jock Blocked
Brooks has been traded to Copper Valley Fireballs, the worst baseball team in the league. Over the span of his baseball career, Brooks decided he was cursed to stay a virgin or have a horrible career ending season. Now that he is already on the worst team, he figures it’s time to lose his V-card… seriously, you know this is going to be hilarious when the Hero is a 30 year old virgin major league baseball player who is determined to finally have sex… especially when you throw the biggest Fireballs fan into the mix! Mackenzie is completely off the walls, she is an overboard crazy fan and truly dedicated to the Fireballs… there is no way I could handle watching a baseball game with her! Yes, she is nutty to the extremes but I love that the fireballs mean so much to her and her shenanigans had me cracking up constantly. Brooks and Mackenzie were great together, he calmed her crazy and she got him to relax and really be part of the team. Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt are a dynamic narrating team, they are two of my favorites for a reason! Andi did a great job of nailing Mackenzie’s personality and all of her crazy emotions when it came to her favorite team and beloved mascot!

Real Fake Love
Henri and Luca meet as he is attending her wedding to his childhood friend... both were in for a real surprise when the groom calls off the wedding on the day of and make's out with Luca's mom. After being left by her 5th fiancee, Henri turns to Luca for help on how to NOT fall in love... needless to say Henri is a bit of a hot mess express. I love that after everything, Henri is still an optimist... she isn't bitter or cynical. Luca isn't as instantly lovable as Henri, he is jaded (he has his reasons) about love and rude. I can honestly say that I have loved all the side characters in the Copper Valley world until now, I really could not stand Luca's mom. She made a really bad first impression and then weirded me out by sleeping in her son's bed naked... so besides her, I enjoyed all the characters... tick tock nona was a nut and I loved that some of Copper Valley Thrusters made their appearances again! The best part... we FINALLY got to know who the new Fireball mascot was and it was great, it was the perfect ending! I seriously love how the entire city became so devoted to the sports team that was struggling to survive. Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke did a great job narrating and bringing the characters to life! I love it that Jason Clarke's name was even dropped in the book as an amazing narrator that Henri got for her paranormal romance audiobook!

The Grumpy Player Next Door
Tillie Jean was an awesome character; she joked, she annoyed, she ribbed, and most importantly… she was a great prankster! Max was an excellent brooding, grumpy athlete but he wasn’t a show stopper and he definitely got overshadowed by the Rock family in my opinion. Enough about Max (sorry, not sorry Max), but honestly the best part that involved Max was the Gnome wars! The entire town of Shipwreck is the main attraction here; between Coopers and TJ’s hilarious antics, the random insults of Long Beak Silvers, and the blush-worthy horniness of everyone in the Rock family… I am wishing this town and these people were real! Savannah Peachwood and Wen Ross did a great job narrating. I have listened to a few books by Wen Ross but this one is by far my favorite performance by him!

Irresistible Trouble
I loved how all it took was one run in with Waverly for Cooper to be a goner, and she was a perfect compliment to Coopers laid back personality! As much as I loved how Cooper was there to give Waverly strength, I was so happy when she finally took charge of her life… I couldn’t help but cheer her on when she put herself fist! Mackenzie Cartwright and Connor Crais did an amazing job narrating the story. Mackenzie was spot on with Waverly’s anxiety and Connor had me cracking up with Coopers goofster personality!

Have Yourself a Grumpy Little Christmas
This was a cute little not-Christmas novella. Trevor and Meg have opposite feelings when it comes to Christmas so their compromise is to have a not-Christmas and I loved the randomness of it, the mismatched decorations and the music! The icing on the cake was a visit from Zeus as Santa! Tedding Hamilton and Emma Wilder are both great narrators and did a wonderful job with this short novella.

This was a Wilder romance that kind of lacked the other Wilder siblings… but I think that just showcased how alone Maeve was. I felt for Maeve, her life was her family and yet it wasn’t good enough for her husband. It was pretty obvious how worthless her husband was after Rainer moved in and I like that it opened her eyes to how a true partnership should be. Without giving anything away, she made me extremely mad there towards the end and honestly I don’t know if I wanted Rainer to forgive her but he’s a better person than me because he staid by her side for everything. Erin Mallon and Robert Hatchet did a great job narrating.

Another Pippa Grant rom-com that did not disappoint! Fletcher is a grouchy, veteran rugby player that recently moved to Copper Valley in hopes of making rugby just as big in the US as it is in Europe (i'd be all for that). Goldie is a former soccer player who became a life coach after a career ending injury. She is honestly the perfect main character; she succeeded when life threw a wrench in her career plans, she dedicated herself to helping others make their life more fulfilling, she is best friends with senior citizens who had me cracking up in every scene, and her relationship with her brother is full of antagonistic banter and pranks! It definitely wasn't love at first sight for Goldie and Fletcher but their connection was there and I enjoyed watching it grow! The frosting on the cake was getting little glimpses of characters from previous Copper Valley books. Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke did a wonderful job bringing all of the characters to life!

I don’t know why but I always love road trip romances, I think it’s because the forced proximity helps the characters get to know each other in a unique way. Emery and Cooper recognized something in each other when they first met and the connection grew as they traveled together. There were some light hearted fun moments but this book really shone a light on how depression can affect the person suffering and the people around them. I felt for both the characters throughout their trip and I was worried the entire time if Kandi would break our hearts at the end or not. The narrator was so good, she handled the sensitive subject and emotions perfectly!

This was an entertaining fake engagement romance with little tidbits of Pretty Woman thrown in. Huxley and Lottie had great banter, they loved antagonizing each other pretty much from the beginning and while I love a good fake romance the fake pregnancy aspect was pretty extreme... I mean, there’s no way to come back from that. The comedy was there in the usual Meghan Quinn style, I was laughing so hard I was crying on my drive into work this morning while listening to the baby class scene! Both narrators did a great job bringing this story to life!

In true Pippa Grant fashion, this was a Romcom was full of great characters and hilarious pets. The constant desserts and pasties had my mouth watering… what I would give for some recipes. The rivalry between Shipwreck and Sarcasm had some entertaining moments but also times when I wanted to yell at the characters to grow up.

This was my first book by this author and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I loved the thought of a regular person standing in for a celebrity during public appearances so she could focus on her mental health. Sam was a bit of a d-bag at first but the connection that grew between him and Gracie was great, and the lost family aspect gave me parent trap vibes.
