Historia
MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan isn’t one to avoid arguments. He relishes them as the lifeblood of democracy and the only surefire way to establish the truth. Arguments help us solve problems, uncover new ideas we might not have considered, and nudge our disagreements toward mutual understanding. A good argument, made in good faith, has intrinsic value—and can also simply be fun.

Revisado: 05-23-23
Doing good or doing bad with new knowledge you acquire reading, listening or watching depends upon yourself! Now, what you internalize depends a lot on the speaker (or writer…). I felt like in a brilliant master class or in a coaching session listening to this book. Mr. Hassan got my attention with his words and made me wanting to learn more!
Thanks for the great book!

Historia
Those who live in this futuristic city are always taken care of but they lack creativity and individuality. This all changes when a mathematician named D-503 discovers that he has a soul that is separate from the OneState. He and the citizens of OneState live out their lives deprived of passion and creativity. Their names have been taken away and replaced with numbers, their daily routines are dictated by the “Time Tablet” which tells them what they should do, and when they should do it, hour after hour.

Got my full attention! Now I understand why people says it inspired 1984…. I also understand the reasons for what Soviet government sensors banned it!

Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

His biggest achievement was his own transformation
Revisado: 08-01-19
Very engaging and easy to read, David Goggins personal history overcoming so much to become an overachiever is powerful and full of wisdom. To change yourself takes a lot of courage and determination. I see his own transformation and self-consciousness as his bigger achievement surpassing all his military record and athletic successful.

Historia
In this lyrical, unsentimental, and compelling memoir, the son of a Black African father and a White American mother searches for a workable meaning to his life as a Black American. This sudden death inspires an emotional odyssey - first to a small town in Kansas, and then to Kenya....

Historia
In this groundbreaking book, journalist and innovation expert Warren Berger shows that one of the most powerful forces for igniting change in business and in our daily lives is a simple, underappreciated tool - one that has been available to us since childhood. Questioning - deeply, imaginatively, "beautifully" - can help us identify and solve problems, come up with game-changing ideas, and pursue fresh opportunities. So why are we often reluctant to ask "Why?"

This book helps you to understand why we loose our capacity for questioning and block our curiosity. We do the same to our kids. What could be done to develop better students, professionals and citizens?
