Historia
In the early 18th century, the Pirate Republic was home to some of the great pirate captains, including Blackbeard, "Black Sam" Bellamy, and Charles Vane. Along with their fellow pirates - former sailors, indentured servants, and runaway slaves - this "Flying Gang" established a crude but distinctive democracy in the Bahamas, carving out their own zone of freedom in which servants were free, Blacks could be equal citizens, and leaders were chosen or deposed by a vote.

"Precepts of Men" - doctrines and ideas misleading the masses that lack scriptural support - are here exposed in all their beguiling hues. Never has scriptural interpretation come under such cutting scrutiny. As found in Jewish and Mormon primary sources - principally the Bible and Book of Mormon - God's pristine Word reveals itself in layer after layer of glorious truth.

a book for our times.
Revisado: 09-15-22
It started out a bit slow but then, I realized that this is a book about the modern progressive moments out come. What the future of a one world Government could look like. It's not pretty but the people over came it. Then gave it away again. Human nature can be predictable..

Crushing painful and engaging.
Revisado: 07-18-22
This series has made the Civil War come alive made it a personal experience. The way the United States is today make you wonder just what things would have been had the South won the Civil War. I do believe that either way the Slavey issue would have been resolved as we grew into our new Nation one way or another. It was a terrible price paid for Slavey by both sides. Hard to believe the lack of Education about this struggle has lead us to where we are today.

Historia
Who wrote Great Expectations? That’s easy: Charles Dickens. Who’s the author of Beloved? Toni Morrison, of course. Now how about the Old Testament? You’d think for a book as widely known, studied, and distributed as the Bible, the question of authorship would have been sorted out by now. But the question is more complex (and fascinating) than it seems. Why? Because asking it is to challenge everything we might assume about the Bible’s identity as a book, about what “writing” and “authorship” really mean, and about how a written text could become sacred.

This only made me want to know more!
Revisado: 02-10-22
I believe, that when you put together all the dots the people that made the Bible possible, it has to be inspired. I don't believe it's a PERFECT word of God but there is clearly enough there to inspire your faith in God and in Jesus Christ his son and in their message of the Gospel.
