Dr. Elisa Hallerman is brilliant!

She's real and raw and very relatable. Her deep dive into soul is just up my alley and intrigued me to listen to the end. Sparking up my curiosity with her fabulous program, she helped me heal and thrive from the inside out just a little more! Loved it! -Doingitsober.com

Historia
Celebrity journalist Amelia Stone is the quintessential Hollywood party girl: she stays out late, rubs shoulders (and occasionally more) with celebrities and ingests copious amounts of cocaine. But after losing her job, her friends and much of her mind, Amelia makes the drastic decision to end her drug abuse. Once sober, she's hired by a big-name magazine to write a column detailing her wild adventures and she starts seeing the man who could be her Mr. Right.

Empowering and compelling!
Revisado: 01-07-19
I had enormous respect for Anna David before I listened to her memoir Party Girl. Now, I have even more. This book takes us up to mid-life and all that comes before it, including adolescence, college years, with many feelings about men woven throughout each stage, a whole lot of wit (for you, the reader), big time sizing people up in the most astute way (she could teach a course on this), then a road to her discovery of recovery! Her Hollywood stories are interesting and she talks like she is rambling on but in a good way it becomes mesmerizing (perfect to listen to when getting ready in the morning or on a walk). Her credibility stems, in part, from her willingness to make her misjudgments and failings an integral part of the story she tells. Real, raw and pure Hollywood lifestyle!

Historia
Khalil Rafati went to Los Angeles in the 1990s and had it all. He was working with Hollywood movie stars and legendary rock musicians, but it wasn't long before he found his way into the dark underbelly of the City of Angels. When he hit rock bottom-addicted to heroin and cocaine, overtaken by paranoia and psychosis, written off by his friends and family - he grabbed a shovel and kept digging. So how does someone with nothing, who feels like they deserve nothing, and who just wants to end it all turn their life around?

Digging deep in his addictions and self consciousness Khalik takes us down the hole into the dark abyss. A remarkable walk on the wild side to the journey of his recovery. I couldn't put it down! Inspiring is an understatement. Khalil captured the magic of humility and courage. - #doingItSober
