I enjoyed this 2nd and final book in the omegaverse duet (there are more standalone romances in this series but we get the finale to Ellie and her men's love story!). I liked getting more airtime with the side characters, especially her boss and neighborhood grumpy grandpa with the heart of gold. I loved the business venture and how that added to the storyline. I loved getting more of her family (excluding her parents who were POS, no sympathy even with the twists revealed at the end) and more of the besties who I hope get their own story. I need her brother to get a story too! Meeting some of the parents and family was adorable, so many smile and giggling moments with the antics between the cousins haha. I think the twins' dad by the way is my favorite, I felt a warm hug after he got better and was there for Ellie and the guys.

I liked the addition of one of the previous pack members and how they added another dimension to the the pack. I will say some things were a little clunky and didnt flow well for me with him and his other mate. I liked the story with the baddies and how they all got their just rewards. I won't expand on it because I don't want to spoil anything but there is a lot to unwrap but let's say they were all made for each other and their craziness. I like having Bear with Ellie and more of the big plot twists and him being there for her. I wish we got more pack togetherness and I was happy to see some Bear and his fated mate but it could have gone a little further. I liked the different guy personalities and how they meshed together. I loved their bromance and getting the house and working on them.

Narration kept me from giving this a 5/5 stars. Story was better in book 2 but I wasn't a huge fan of the female narrator and there wasn't enough POV for the males to get more airtime for his voice. I thought she again was more OTT than not and I wasn't a big fan of what her narrators were looking/sounding.

Definitely a solid 4/5 stars for me! I am gonna listen to the rest of this series as it releases on audible, thank goodness they all are being worked on!!

I was excited to see this series was coming to audio because I had been eying them up and was looking for a cute omega verse to sink my teeth into. I listened to the complete duet in a just a couple days, I enjoyed the banter and storyline in this bachelorette type OV whychoose romance.

I like the concept and was intrigued from the very beginning with how the author teed up the story. I feel for Ellie so much, she was humiliated and blindsided and has to hide away so no one can recognize her (or limit her exposure) in her brother's current hometown. I loved picturing this town with the storefronts, diner, bookstore, tea/coffee hangout. It felt like I was picturing like a cute home town like in Gilmore Girls or Sweet Home Alabama. I was happy with the different side characters (I hope some get their own story too!) and see how Ellie finds her new family after what has happened to her and how her family treats her (minus her sister and brother). The dynamics we get to see developing in book 1 of this finished duet was adorable, especially the old man of the town haha. I loved the girl friends Ellie makes, her strengthening bond with her brother, and the guys she slowly adds to her harem. Also we get to hear about and get some flashbacks/scenes from the reality tv show that keep your emotions going all over the place.

We get very different personalities in this harem. We get 2 alphas, one is grumpy and a little broody (you understand his background in this first book so you understand him way better), who loves to ensure his omega is well cared for and fed and protected. Another alpha is the last to get in line and tell Ellie how he feels/ask for a date hehe. He is unsure but a strong alpha with possessive instincts with Ellie and more to come of that in book 2!! Then we get the beta brothers and one is more happy and freeing and goes for what he wants and the other was very upset (dealing with their sick dad who was not getting better) and took out his frustrations with Ellie (thank goodness he groveled and apologized a ton afterward). I loved the dates and the sexy times (more in book 2 though!!) and the relationship development.

A quick thing about the narration, I really wish this was a duet narration and while I know that is more expensive and most authors can't afford that, it's just something to keep in the forefront for future books. I thought the female narrators was OTT in a lot of spots, especially when she was doing the male voices. I think the storyline for me was a 4.5/5 and if the narration was great I would have rounded it up to 5 but because there was some rough scenes where her voice didnt match what the situation called/emotions to be performed and portrayed. I will listen to her in the future but she won't be an automatic one-click purchase from me. Male narrator was fine for his little part, I know book 2 has more POVs for the male characters so we get to hear the narrator more.

I also wasn't a huge fan of some things being dropped, the connections that sometimes skipped some important confrontations. I didnt like how Ellie accepted things/moved on from some. It just felt very rushed. I would recommend this story but not sure if I would the audiobook (I am listening to 1.55X, if I had to listen to it in real time I wouldn't be able to get through it all.

I absolutely love every book this author puts out, she does an incredible job making her readers get so invested with her characters, her new worlds, the side characters, and storylines. I loved her Kensley Panthers series so I was super excited to see an audiobook for the spinoff series! A lot of things started to come back to me while I was listening and I was so happy we finally got to get this character mentioned in one of the original series and got to see his POV and see him get his happily ever ever!

I loved the small age gap, it was so cute and made me happy to see someone put Dallas first, to see him for who he was, to love him unconditionally. His family was a horrible excuse for one and was happy to see him walk away from them at the end, so proud! Do I care he is just a fictional character? No, because this author made me root for these guys and wanted to see their HEAs and have decent human beings in their made family since their blood was words I won't say in this review haha. I actually started liking Chloe, I didnt think I would. I do wish we got more time with the little one and confirmation about his parents but that would be my only critique of the situation.

I hope we get to see more of these two in the next part of the series (book 2 comes out on audio soon, can't wait!!). I loved their dynamic, loved Dallas getting to discover things about himself. How Colt took care of him but also allowed Dallas to take of him. He has good intentions in the beginning with his nephew but it ended up being even better finding the love of his life. The steam was fabulous, the swoon worthy moments were perfect, and the adorable moments even better. It was a great mix of story (with football, friend connection, etc.) and the romance. I also love they are verse, if you know what I mean! The new experiences were so much to listen to, had to stop some chores to focus more hehehe.

Narration was perfection, I loved the one narrator I have listened to before but the other was completely new to me and another narrator to add to me Automatic Listen List! I thought they both did a great job diving into these characters, esp with the length of the story it was impressive how much depth we got and the character and story building. Another testament to this author's great storytelling. Loved this, 5/5 easily from me <3

I was looking for more light, romcom monster romance and I saw book 2 of this series was on Everand and that I got book 1 on audible previously so I was like...I am so down! I enjoyed the orc series by this author I started last year that I need to circle back to this year.

I will say this was super instalust/mated and it was little too much for me (3.5/5 stars for the story) but the narration was great so it rounded it up to 4 stars easily. I did really like Arielle (play on the little mermaid hahaha) and her thoughts and internalization made sense to me and felt right. I think for me something felt off with Jasper, not sure what. I liked how vulnerable he was with his form but the way sometime he would react had red flags going off for me. Overall I still enjoyed it, but I can already tell book 2 will be my favorite of the series! Already started, so book 1 gave a good impression though.

Enjoyed the sexy scenes, wish we got more of the romantic moments, I mean I know it's a novella but it could have been a full blown story it had so much potential and great world building. I loved the description of his different forms, how things worked was interesting haha (and the pocket Arielle went into haha). I liked he had a glimpse of a Dom but then that faded after the first bit. I liked the narration and was happy it had both a male and female narrator. They did a good job with their performances, made me immersed in the story.

Already diving into book 2, I hope this author explores this cozy monster world more, I am enjoying them for sure!

Enjoyed the circus!

I enjoyed this book in the original line-up from the IV&V shared universe, I thought the play on the circus in no-man's land was fabulous, I could imagine the acts and creatures involved. It made for an intriguing storyline.

I accidentally skipped ahead and listened to Covet Me before listening to this one so I met some of the characters already with one of the tasks in that book. I liked getting their background and the connections with the little cameos and connections in Covet Me. I was on the fence with the Ringmaster but he definitely pulled through and became a great character to fall for. He was so protective and feral when it came to his mate once he let his feelings take root haha. He tried to keep her at arm's length because of what he is and who would be coming for him eventually, he didnt want her to get hurt in the crossfire, but he learned he can't stop their mating bond and feelings (and the chemistry was done really well!).

I loved Liv, she was such a complex character and I loved how things happened with D and how the others treated her (her besties, not the horrible mean girl of the circus though, and the lions hehe). I liked all the other characters in the circus too, the security of the circus caught my eye (and they get their own love story that I absolutely ate up!). I will say I did see the bad guy coming, but not exactly how things went down but it was a good story nonetheless. This was my first from this author but I will be checking them out more now! The tension was done really well, I do wish there was more steam but that wouldnt have fit with the other books in this first run (they amped it up in the next series with the RH relationships). I do appreciate how well the author wrote the big baddie, how they weaved the abuse and how the creature treated Liv and the others in his horrible group. I felt for Liv and really liked her. I loved the ending of this book as well!

Narration was good for me, again the narrators do a lot in the audio world and one does a better job changing up their voices for the different stories and one doesnt. I would give them solid 4s for this one, I felt the turmoil, the hurt, the strength to try and not let their mating happen. I also felt the fear from the other performers with their contracts with D and how they felt caged and the sad deaths in the circus. I thought they did a good job performing the acts too, it was easy to imagine them in my head.

Overall good story, I thought it added to the shared world and was so happy to get book in the circus that I will be reviewing shortly haha.

Liking how this book started the spinoff series!

I was happy to see this spinoff series included RH standalones where we get more relationships and more interweaving of the worlds and characters. I liked the variety of the creatures in this harem, it made for some exciting twists and turns (the one at the end I totally didnt see coming!!! Loved it so much).

I hated Nikki's dad and one of her brothers, they got their just rewards in the end, if you catch my drift haha. I wish we got more from her other brothers, they seemed awesome. I loved the other side characters, they really got their own time to shine and made for some great scenes (like our one wing friend!). The guys each got their alone time with Nikki but always the authors allowed for the readers to fall for them and also love them all together. Our grumpy/sunshine trope with Niall and his hard past (I loved the connection with our Ringmaster from a previous book!) and when he shifted...OMG hahaha. Loved the friends to lovers with Malachi and his creature/shifted state. He was relentless and didnt give up on her after what her father did. And Adrian definitely provided some comedic relief, loved his flirtiness and him talking Niall down off a ledge.

The storyline felt like a tv show with tasks they had to do to be higher in the running for Chancellor. I liked the cameos from some of the other side characters in previous books. Liked the incorporation of the different creatures/worlds and helping tie in future books/stories as well. The tension and back and forth between Nikki and the main guys was intense at times and super slowburn in others haha. I thought it was a good pace, made us fall for the guys first before we shipped them as couples. Also Nikki is a total BA, esp what she had to endure because of her father with his callous treatment and training but also the trauma with her sister and the kidnapping. She is an epic FMC and loved her phoenix and her abilities too!

Narration was good, Bridget is not one of my top 5 female narrators because she doesnt really differentiate her characters between books, a lot of them all sound the same to me and sometimes OTT when its unnecessary but she always gets a solid 4 out of 5 stars from me. The male narrator did a good job with the very different personalities of the main characters and we could feel the inner turmoil, the hope, the pain, the anger throughout this emotional rollercoaster of like Hunger Games meets Harry Potter and the TriWizard Tournament haha.

I am liking the spinoff series more than the original, I think because the authors were allowed to do RH and not stick to M/F and the stories were spicier. The original series wasnt bad, but it felt too tame and lacking more of their potential, which is why I gave more 4 star reviews for those compared to more 5 stars in this spinoff series.

Favorite of the universe so far!

I am going through and re-listening to some of the audiobooks of the IV&V series so I can get as much of the characters and stories in my brain before I start with the newest series out on audio! I remember liking this one and I enjoyed it the 2nd time even more. I have more context for some of the side conversations/mentions of other characters from the previous books (like Nikki Ward from Covet Me, Nyx from Crave Me, etc.). I think right now this is my favorite of the whole shared world but I have a ton more audiobooks to listen to before that can be finalized haha.

I liked getting to see what happened with Fallon, who we meet in a previous book in a treacherous predicament. I loved Fallon probably the most so far out of the other FMCs. She is so feisty and stubborn and I can totally relate to that. Her relationship with her sister is how I feel with my family so even though this was a paranormal RH, I could find a lot of things that are relatable. I enjoyed Fallon's mates too and thought the narration was amazing for the ones with accents, I was in love with their voices/performances. One thing that confused me was Kaspian was not British in the previous book he was introduced to us in. He was super British in this one though.

Kaspian's reticence to believe Fallon and let her in to his life and those of the group made sense but I wanted to shake him so badly haha. He finally figured it out after he had Fallon reject him and he realized his mistake/was in so much pain. I loved the phantoms, they brought so much to this story and when they were introduced in a previous book I was hoping we would get more from them. I love the accents, their banter, the humor but also them telling Kaspian how it was. They didnt have a problem standing up to their King. There were mentions of some M/M but that wasnt really a focal point in this one, just watching hehe. The sexy scenes were amazing and well interspersed with the plot. I think my only other complaint is the archangel felt more like an afterthought. He didn't get his time with her, there was no relationship building. This is why I would give this 4.5 out of 5 stars because the story either needed to be longer to allow for more scenes throughout the book to let them grow together (he was gone most of the time trying to get answers) or he needed to not be in this particular harem.

Narration like I mentioned was fabulous, the different personalities came through really well. I liked we got a full cast and you could tell who was talking with who. They helped bring these characters to life and keep me super engrossed in this installment of the IV&V shared universe.

This was my first audiobook from CM and it wont be the last. I enjoyed this primal shorter story and am interested if there will be more from this world! I was a little discombobulated with the timeline jumps but I still enjoyed the storyline. I had to rewind a couple times because I missed some key points that made the story not flow but once I did I got it. I think thats why I didnt rate it a 5/5 stars. I usually have no problem with the kind of jumps/progression but this one was hard on audio (probably would have been fine reading).

I felt for Vanessa since Grayson was hot and cold so much I was getting whiplash! I did love how he brought her into his family, how she held her own with them, how when things went south she went to his family and got back into contact with him and he couldnt let her go after that haha. I liked the brothers antics, I even enjoyed how Grayson's dad was by the end. I thought that subplot was done really well.

The steam in this one was so yummy, I loved a feral/primal kink and being chased and duking it out was fun with their activities haha. I liked how they both gave each other it right back, no one was more strong-willed than the other. Did like the dominant coming out more as the scenes progressed, so delicious. I hope there are more audiobooks coming from this world, I can see this author having a fun time with all the side characters introduced in just this one book! I liked that it tied in with her other series, I am gonna catch up on the other series' this year, that is my goal!

Narration was good, I did wish it was duet narration but understand the POVs were all the main characters'. I think Grayson with a male voice could have been epic but the solo narrator on this one did a decent job with the various voices. I just think having a primal kink being acted out is better with the male voice, adds to the experience if you know what I mean haha ;)

Loved the banter between Vesperus and Nyx

Revisado: 02-17-25

I really enjoyed this installment of the Immortal Vices and Virtues shared world. I had listened to one of the spinoff and remembering them talking about characters that are main stays in this story and wanting to know what happened. I liked Nyx a lot and her BA-ery made for a compelling storyline. She didnt take cr@p from anyone and her snark and resulting humor was great, I didnt expect it from this story based on the blurb. The way she let Vesperus in a little at a time made for a good relationship building and storyline. I wanted to see how the two could come together and help save each other/their people.

I liked the mystery and intrigue of this book. The author does a good job stringing you along and making you think one thing and then they pull the rug out of from under you and your mind is racing trying to figure out what is going on. I liked the twist with someone in Vesperus' group being not so good haha and thats all I will say! I liked her powers, how she wielded it and talked to it and let it do what it wanted hahaha. The things she could do were so fun! I thought the thing that happened in the shop was fantastic haha. She has been one of my favorites characters of the shared world so far!

Vesperus was interesting and conflicted with how he was supposed to treat Nyx. Like she is a goddess, good luck keeping her contained or punishing her haha. I liked some of the side characters and enjoyed their interaction with him and helping to save the kingdom from some evil plans. Someone doesnt like how he has run things and all heck breaks loose! The tension between Nyx and him is fabulous and though I wish I had more sexy times, it was done well and had a lot of tension and spice thrown in throughout the story.

Narration was good in this one, this author tends to use them a lot and pretty much why change a good thing if it is working. I thought these two felt like they had chemistry with their portrayals and did a good job with all the inflections and changes in scenery, a lot of different interactions, various snafu's from Nyx just appearing and doing that she wanted haha. Great job on this one, I thought I wouldn't like the M/F stories as much as the RH ones but this one proved me wrong!

Not a huge fan of the audio

I am giving this audiobook 3.5/5 stars. It had some fun moments with the quirkiness and snarkiness of Liza and how she didnt know certain things about the culture. You get some humble pie in this one with Harak being a snobby jerk and having to understand Liza and figure out where she was coming from, and realizing she isnt as she seems.

I think the concept of the story was fine, wasnt my favorite from this author, but for me the audiobook didnt help enhance the story, it distracted me a fair bit of the time so it made me round down to a 3 instead of a 4. I wasnt a fan of the narration, it was over the top in some instances, the volume levels were changing and making me having to change everytime the POV changed. I was not a fan of the female narrator when she had to do the male voices, it made me have to re-listened a bit because it was distracting and hard for me to concentrate. She did a good job with her main female vocals but since this was dual narration and not duet, we had to hear her do a lot of the male characters and it was tough some times. The male narration wasnt bad, I wish we got him his aristocratic voice even more, like we would have had this been duet. I understand completely duet is way more expensive than dual but one can hope maybe in the future the author would be able to do some duet nattion for their books.

I did enjoy some of the side characters. I thought the coworker of Harak and the housekeeper/lead worker of Harak was done well. They provided some entertainment and I liked them getting together. I am not sure if I will go get the next book on audio because of how this audio one was (same narrators for book 2).
