I have listened to the audiobooks for the Martian, Artemis, and now Project Hail Mary. Weir is a great writer, and I felt like this was his best work yet. The way he weaves the story together is compelling, the twists are brilliant, and the science is great. I really enjoyed the ending also. It wasn’t what I expected but it was very satisfying. I also appreciated the milder language in this story that makes it more appropriate to general audiences.

This was a fascinating story about the early life of Marie Curie. However the end was so abrupt and left so much of the story untold, I was left feeling abandoned. It’s quite a cliffhanger.

What a great story of suffering and redemption. To say nothing of the narration, which rendered the voices of so many characters with exceptional variety and realism.

Trevor Noah does a compelling job telling his story thematically more than chronologically. Each piece adds a layer to the story, until the climactic hour where his mother takes the spotlight in the book. It's interesting how Noah gives the focus to his mom right at the point in his own life where he was entering the public spotlight.

Noah's use of language and dialect is brilliant, as always, and brings so much more to the story than the printed words could. His timing and humor shine through the book. He also takes opportunities to explore the societal issues that impacted his life: racism, social injustice, abuse, poverty, patriarchy, and more. He stays pretty objective while encouraging empathy towards others. This is well worth a place in your library.

Patterson is easy to listen to and the material is thorough and really helpful for managers, parents, and anyone affected by others' shortcomings.

Where does Artemis rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Definitely a more technical novel than most, which is fine, and I love Sci-Fi. Even so, the story wasn't as believable as other novels due to the way consequences played out. I won't spoil anything, but I was left having trouble suspending disbelief.

Would you recommend Artemis to your friends? Why or why not?

Not really. It's fun, for sure, but I found Jazz' personality shallow and her arc unsatisfactory. She's a criminal, brilliant and lazy. She neither comes to terms with the waste of her talent, nor faces realistic consequences for it.

Which character – as performed by Rosario Dawson – was your favorite?

Kelvin.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Certainly the last four hours of audio were hard to walk away from.

This is a great performance of CS Lewis' classic. The voices are very good and the reading is engaging. Lewis brings a sublime illustration of God to a child's level in the figure of Aslan.

Great performance of a timeless classic

Recorded in 1983, this audio is as clear as yesterday. The reading is dramatic without being excessive and the voices are mostly good. There were a few places where two-party dialog was hard to follow when the voices were similar, and sometimes Lucie and Jerry were almost a whisper. Miss Pross is the best.

The story is a little slow in places during the first two books but if you appreciate Dickens' satirical humor it's still a fun listen. I found the story itself was somewhat predictable because of Dickens' use of foreshadowing and metaphor, but that made it stronger.

In summary, this book is a classic for obvious reasons. It is deep, but not too deep. It is about suffering, but filled with love and life and hope. It was the best couple bucks I've spent at Audible yet.
