Historia
On Detective Matt Jones's first night working Homicide in LA, he's called to investigate a particularly violent murder case: a man has been gunned down in a parking lot off Hollywood Boulevard, his bullet-riddled body immediately pegged as the work of a serial robber who has been haunting the Strip for months.

Don't waste your time or $$$
Revisado: 08-06-18
This might have been an amazing story if the narrator had tried to give a good narration. It was so monotone and no differentiation between characters that I was confused most of the time. If you can, just read it in book format. I even think the computerized voice of SIRI or Alexa would make this a better listen than this narrator.

Go to D.C. NOW!
Revisado: 08-06-18
I first read this book when it was first released and re-listened to it before my first trip to D.C. earlier this year. Dan Brown has such an amazing knack to giving you a history lesson and a nail biting story at the same time. I love the character of Robert Langdon and cannot wait to read each story that comes out. I have now been to every destination that was written about and more. I have a new love for D.C. and the history that is all of ours as Americans.

Different and almost better than the first 3
Revisado: 08-06-18
I love where this author took the character of Lisbeth. It is writing that reminds me of the first novel and better than the last 2 in the series. I may have to re-listen because I feel like there were some tid-bits that I missed and would make the story fully realized in my brain. This book will make you want to watch the trilogy movies all over again.

Historia
With a sensibility that recalls her beloved screen characters, including Yvette, Queenie, Shug, and the iconic Cookie from Empire, yet is all Taraji, the screen actress writes of her families - the one she was born into and the one she created. She shares stories of her father, a Vietnam vet who was bowed but never broken by life's challenges, and of her mother, who survived violence both in the home and on DC's volatile streets. Here, too, she opens up about her experiences as a single mother.

I love you Taraji
Revisado: 08-06-18
To be quite honest, I had only seen one movie with Taraji in it. I was so moved by her ability to truly become the character and I had heard great things about this book that I downloaded it. I am a single mother to a bi-racial son and found her story so moving and her passion for her art and caring for herself and her son to be incredibly relateable for me. After listening to her story, I started to watch her show and see just how she was able to master these different characters that I would have just dismissed before. Her 360 degree view of each character made me view movies and tv show characters very differently. This book is so honest, raw and yet funny that I felt like I have known for such a long time and I can't wait to see the next project she is in!

Relate-able and such a cute story
Revisado: 08-06-18
I didn't want this story to end. These characters were relate-able and not far fetched like one would imagine. The plot twists and personal issues made sense and I was drawn into their world both as individuals and as a couple. I would love more stories like this. They were the perk to my day.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Revisado: 08-06-18
I loved this side of Harry Bosch. I love him as a P.I.! I almost wished he had become one sooner, so we could get stories like this sooner! And Please have Titus Welliver narrate Every Single Time! He is a great actor, but my gosh does he make a story tangible and I didn't want to stop listening. I have a long commute and this book and narration made me actually want to sit in traffic! I cannot wait for the next Harry Bosch P.I. Story now!

Historia
Single mother Kyra Kokinos spends her days waiting tables, her nights working on her real estate license, and every spare moment with her precocious six-year-old daughter, Ruby - especially when Ruby won't stop pestering their grumpy next-door neighbor. At first glance, Dax Bishop seems like the kind of gruff, solitary guy who'd be unlikely to offer a cup of sugar, let alone a marriage proposal. But that's exactly what happens when Ruby needs life-saving surgery.

This narrator is amazing, story is a little rough
Revisado: 08-06-18
This story seemed a little tough in some spots. It was hard to hear a woman be so emotionally needy at some points, but thankfully it twists and turns and comes out fantastic. This narrator is amazing. I love that she comes across so realistic. Out of the three Lake Haven books, this one was the hardest for me to get through. If you listen and love the first 2 lake haven stories, don't bother reading the plot of this one, just listen!! I think knowing the plot made me more rushed while listening and therefore frustrated with Kira and her emotional roller coaster.
