Historia
This book explores the dramatic difference between the Russian and US approach to warfare, which manifests itself across the whole spectrum of activities from art and the economy to the respective national cultures; illustrates the fact that Russian economic, military, and cultural realities and power are no longer what American "elites" think they are by addressing Russia's new and elevated capacities in the areas of traditional warfare, as well as cyberwarfare and space; and studies several ways in-depth in which the US can simply stumble into conflict with Russia and what must be done to avoid it.

Great read, so pertinent today!
Revisado: 04-19-23
Scott details events over 30 years ago, yet so applicable now. Author is very active on podcast/interview circuit regarding current events in same part of the world, providing sane alternative to current imperial narrative and propaganda, thus was interested in his earlier career... Good job!

Historia
Stephanie Kelton's brilliant exploration of modern monetary theory (MMT) dramatically changes our understanding of how we can best deal with crucial issues ranging from poverty and inequality to creating jobs, expanding health care coverage, climate change, and building resilient infrastructure. Any ambitious proposal, however, inevitably runs into the buzz saw of how to find the money to pay for it, rooted in myths about deficits that are hobbling us as a country.

Funny
Revisado: 07-07-20
This book is hilarious beyond belief, especially in it's morbid tone, just silly and absurd... With some hesitation I leave 5-star rating, mostly because of:
1. Author's credentials: PhD and such;
2. Cute hair style;
3. Excellent narration (on Audible) and punctuation; and
4. Book appears factual (as far as I can see).
This most amusing work triggered frequent bursts of joy and laughter and giggles, for which I am forever in Stephanie's debt, thank you!

Historia
Between 1995 and 2007, the Republic of Ireland was the worldwide model of successful adaptation to economic globalisation. The success story was phenomenal: a doubling of the workforce; a massive growth in exports; a GDP that was substantially above the EU average. Ireland became the world's largest exporter of software and manufactured the world's supply of Viagra. But there were two big problems....

Funny!
Revisado: 11-22-10
Hilarious! Author's fetish for government and regulation is amusing and funny, given his morbid-serious-moralistic tone :-) Enjoyed this work very much, with detailed color and flavor of modern Ireland.
