Slow start but good story

The book has a slow start but once into the book it is hard to stop listening to. It has two good aspects, 1) it give you insite into the turmoil in Africa and 2) If you like the complexity of organized basketball and the process of moving up the ladder it is interesting.

Difficult

This is a very difficult book to listen to. I have listened to over 400 books on audible and finished all but 3-4 of them. I am going to give up this book. Reasons: 1) It is very difficult to listen to a book that has more characters you can keep up with. If you are reading it, you can pause and figure out who they are, 2) The plot is complicated and difficult to follow. 3) it is a long book so the fustration gets to you.

After listening for an hour I could not understand or comprehend any plot., so I quit. My library has nearly 500 books and i think this book, A Man Called Eve is one of the 3-4’ I could not finish.

I have over 450 books in my Audibel library and this tis about the 5th book I did not finish. It was difficult to follow the plot and characters as there was alot of foriegn names to to assimilate. It probably would of been more acceptable if read the book.

Difficult to follow

I have listened to over 450 Audible books and the was the most difficult to follow.. I have listened to over 450 Audible books and this was the most difficult to follow. First it was based on gaming and that is not my interest. I had difficult following the plot and especially the large number of characters who are sometimes call by their first names and other times by their last names. When you read a book, you have time to recall the individuals, but audio does not give you that time. Second There is a lot of minutiae in the book, which has nothing to do with the plot. Lastly I thought the story was not that interesting.

Slow and confusing start

It takes about 25% of the book to understand where the plot is going. Once identified then then an enjoyable book. Not on the same level as others I have read or listened to in the Gray man series.

An interesting Wilbur Smith novelI

I have read or listened to nearly all of Wilbur Smith's books and the is among those in the 5 star group. It is an interesting story with a little different ploy location, easy to follow and difficult to put down.

Enjoyable book

Jeffrey Archer's books are always enjoyable, as I have either read or listen to most of them. The plot was very interesting and well developed over the course of the book. The Narration was good and had the English accent. I have recommended the book to a couple of friend.

I probably listened to nearly 500 books on Audible and this is the second book I could not finish. I was difficult to follow plot and sort out the characters. I have read and listened to previous book by Barry Eisler and this one was a disappointment.

Good till the end

One of the disadvantages of a book on tape is keeping up with all the characters. In the last chapter it was very difficult to follow the resolution of the plot/story. The first 95% was very enjoyable. David Aaron Baker. produced an excellent audio.
