Faith Hunter writes with depth and creates interest to keep you in her thrall! Couldn't get enough of this adventure. She builds a tale with so many layers...all equally engaging. When is the next installment? I am so drawn to this storyline...must be the nanos.

Spider Series hurts so Good!

The elemental series by JE is a lovely romp through an alternate universe of gifted humans. Some have strong element based power and some are weak and some have more than one gift. Gin, our protagonist, is a rescued orphan turned assassin. But there is so much even she doesn't know about her past. This would make a great TV series, but not for the kiddos.

Great Spy Thriller

I really enjoyed this story. There is plenty of action, a bit of love, dysfunctional family, and learning how to be in relationships. One harrowing near death experience after another keeps the action moving. Great descriptions of scenes. This would make a great movie series.

A Sweet Mystery

This is an appealing ghost mystery with a very light emphasis on the ghost. There is more focus on the big life changing choices made by the female protagonists, their relationship and the mystery. The target audience is teen through adult and keeps your interest with the mystery, bravo Kate Kingsbury. FYI, I will read the next installment as a appetiser rather than the main dish and thanks for the recipe.

Readers are too Different

I enjoy Jennifer Esteps writing for the most part, but the readers made it difficult to focus on the story.

The male reader, Grant, was a reader while Helen was a voice actor. When Grant reads a list, you feel it and it takes you out of the story. Helen uses accents when Grant does not. It gets almost ridiculous. Let Helen do the whole thing.

Favorite Series

If you are looking for a more mature version of the Princess Bride series, this might be just the thing! Lot's of action, an amazing heroine who solves problems with grace and ease. She is a modern day manager in a fantasy novel and imbodies all the qualities of a superhero! I so want to be like her when I grow up.

I adore this series. I actually am binge listening to it for a third time since discovering it through the Ilona Andrews website - a great way to find other books by your new favorite authors. Why do I love this series...because it is written with all the qualities of one of my favorite movies, the Princess Bride. There are daring sword fights, the Hope Crushing Horde (pit of dispair), hired killers, constant threats to life and true love. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

JK Rowling's first Harry Potter book is wonderful to listen to again and again. It's like going home or visiting an old cherished friend. Jim Dale remains unmatched in his performance of the book. Love, love, love it!
