Historia
In one bloody night, three of Washington’s most powerful politicians are executed with surgical precision. Their assassins then deliver a shocking ultimatum to the American government: set aside partisan politics and restore power to the people. No one, they warn, is out of their reach—not even the president. A joint FBI-CIA task force reveals the killers are elite military commandos, but no one knows exactly who they are or when they will strike next.

The Swamp or Why We Will Never Have Term Limits
Revisado: 10-02-17
I have been a huge fan of Vince Flynn and Mitch Rapp for years but this was by far his best book. I was so impressed after completing it, I checked out Flynn's Bio and learned that this was his first book and it was self-published.
For those fans looking for Mitch Rapp taking on terrorists, you will be disappointed as there is no Mitch Rapp to be found. Instead, our hero is a former Delta Force marine turned Congressman that is instrumental in exposing the corruption at all levels of our government.
This book could have easily been written in today's political climate vs. 1997. You will definitely get an understanding of who and what makes up the 'swamp' in Washington. A great story . . .a great narration . . , You won't be disappointed!

Historia
A major North American hydroelectric dam is blown up and the largest off-shore oil field in this hemisphere is destroyed in a brutal, coordinated terrorist attack. But there was one factor that the terrorists didn't take into account when they struck the Capitana platform off the coast of Colombia—slaughtering much of the crew and blowing up the platform—and that was the Capitana crew chief Dewey Andreas. Dewey, former Army Ranger and Delta, survives the attack, rescuing as many of his men as possible. But the battle has just begun.

Great Story Greatly Narrated!!!
Revisado: 08-08-17
This was my first Ben Coes book and it won't be my last. I intend to take the advice of one reviewer and purchase Book 2 and Book 3 to hear more of the adventures of the main character, Dewey Andreas.
I particularly enjoyed the epilogue at the end of the story . . .a conversation between the author and Mitt Romney. It was interesting to learn how the author developed the story. It was obvious that Mitt had enjoyed the book aswell. It was a nice touch!

General George S. Patton, Jr., died under mysterious circumstances in the months following the end of World War II. For almost 70 years, there has been suspicion that his death was not an accident - and may very well have been an act of assassination. Killing Patton will take listeners inside the final year of the war and recount the events surrounding Patton's tragic demise, naming names of the many powerful individuals who wanted him silenced.

I Couldn't Stop Listening!
Revisado: 01-20-15
I was pleasantly surprised with Bill O'Reily's audio . . .he made you feel you were right there! A great insight into Patton as well as a great insight into the history and major players in WWII. I suggested that my grown children read the book just so they can become aware of that period of our history. Again, you won't regret this purchase!

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

Gone Girl Will Not Disappoint!
Revisado: 12-22-14
Even listening for 3 hour sessions while driving, it was hard to stop listening to this great story. Just when you think you have all the characters figured out . . .BANG! The author takes off in an entirely different direction you hadn't even thought of. It is a book full of surprise twists and turns that keeps you coming back for the next chapter. I have definitely found a new author. You will not be disappointed in this book!

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Another Winner from the Master Story Teller!
Revisado: 01-21-14
In Sycamore Row, Grisham does a masterful job of developing a diverse group of characters and weaving them into his tale. Its the characters that move this story to its unexpected conclusion. I have read almost all of Grisham's books and I have to rate Sycamore Row as one of his best.

If you suffer from insomnia, don't waste your money, credits or time! The author does a great job in developing the characters, fails to develop any plot. Ki finally gave as I just was not motivated to continue this book.

Revisado: 05-13-10
As a huge fan of Alex Cross, I, Alex Cross, did not disappoint. If they make any more Alex Cross movies they definitely must use Morgan Freeman. The narrator sounded just like him. Even thou it was a reach to go that deep into the White House, it was still a good listen.

Despite the excellent reviews on Larsson's books, I just could not get into this novel. I have been spoiled by Will Patton's narrations of Burke's thrillers.

Revisado: 01-31-09
This was my first James Burke audio book, but it certainly won't be my last. I loved it! It also introduced me for the first time to the narrator, Will Patton. He has got to be the 'best of the best' as he has the talent of bringing all the characters to life. I now look for other books that he narrates. Download this book . . .you won't regret it.

Just couldn't get into it!
Revisado: 01-31-09
I gave this a 3 hour listen and just could not get into it. I found it to be 'plodding' and very slow moving. As for the narration, I will admit that I have been spoiled by the best audio narrator, Will Patton.
