Historia
When leading archeologist Dr. Hank Murphy discovers an alien artifact on the Moon, corporate interests are quick to get involved. Murphy just wants to understand what this thing is and how it works. After months of research, he finally manages to locate the power source. The gate is soon activated...and Murphy is pulled through. Moments later, he finds himself in a war-torn corner of the galaxy where strangers like him are called Orphans...and they are considered extremely dangerous. Somehow altered by the experience, the archeologist now has enhanced strength, speed, and agility.

Stargate Fanfic
Revisado: 05-08-25
Feels like a piece of Stargate Fanfic, as read by Jon Lovitz doing his Christian Slater impersonation from A Few More Good Men in The Critic.

Narrator is inconsistent
Revisado: 03-10-25
When the narrator is simply reading the text, he is phenomenal. his pacing is wonderful, and he keeps me on the edge of my seat. But he simply cannot do voices. whether it's Barak sounding like he's from the Bronx or Yarblek's Mexican-Irish accent, they just don't work. Even worse, his voices aren't consistent.

Historia
The construction of the world's first truly accurate clock starts a race against, well, time. For if the perfect clock starts ticking, Time, as we know it, will stop. And then the trouble will really begin. Subtle, sly, thought-provoking, and hilarious, Thief of Time is Terry Pratchett at his best. "This delightful production keeps the listener spellbound," says AudioFile.

Great story, distracting performance
Revisado: 08-30-21
Love the story, but the narration is very distracting. There are multiple narrators, which isn't a major issue. But at times it's done like a full-cast reading. Other times, it's a single narrator. At still other times, it's a single narrator, with interjections from a different narrator (difficult to describe, but you'll know it when you hear it). I truly wish this had been read by Nigel Planer, like the earlier books in the Death series.
