I have enjoyed most of this series, but this just falls flat. The entire book is just a series of conversations....any action is short and rushed over. Talk, talk, talk... snooze. The "hero" is a guy with a giant green mohawk (gross) with a female sounding nickname and no guts or personality. What a wimp. No wonder there was no chemistry. The female lead is told that he is her lifemate, and she doesn't seem to care. He might die or not accept her....shrug, she will move on with her life. I really didn't care if they got together, and it didn't seem that they cared either. Had to struggle to finish this one.

Any additional comments?

Wow, couldn't get past the first hour or two. Horribly written. This was so boring! There is no chemistry between the characters. The endless conversations and descriptions are mind-numbing. The whole Japanese rope art thing was gross and ridiculous. I'm embarrassed that Jim Frangione had to read this out loud.

Any additional comments?

The narrator has no idea how to do female voices. The heroine sounds like a whiny preteen with a weird breathy voice. Awful. To be fair, he also dropped the ball a bit on the hero, too. He sounds a bit like a Jersey shore meathead. He makes the book sound like the title should be "When Lunkhead Met Twit." Will be avoiding this narrator in the future.

Would you listen to When an Alpha Purrs again? Why?

I love Eve Langlais. Her stories are always romantic & funny.

What didn’t you like about William G. Humphrey’s performance?

Everything. Stilted, awkward performance. The voices for the secondary characters were laughable. The big, bad omega sounded like a 70 year old man.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laughter, definitely.

Any additional comments?

Thank God this guy isn't narrating the rest of the series.

Would you try another book from Lynsay Sands and/or Bebe Kaye?

Ms . Sands...maybe, she has written much better books than this

What was most disappointing about Lynsay Sands’s story?

Well, I normally love the Argeneau books, but this was a chore to get through. The female lead has no backbone. She's also old, so the initial love scenes are cringe-worthy. Endless talking in this book, I just wanted it to end. I didn't particularly care if these two got together.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Monotone. No Italian accent. Multiple supporting characters remark about Dante's accent, yet no trace of it from the narrator.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Runaway Vampire?

Too many to count. Talk, talk, talk

Any additional comments?

Where's the humor, the action? Would love to see a love scene from the male's perspective. (Only if the heroine is not over 60, though...ugh)

Would you try another book from Mandy M. Roth and/or Mason Lloyd?

Yes, she is normally a decent writer.

Has A View to a Kill turned you off from other books in this genre?

no- I've read other books that were well-written

Which scene was your favorite?

The last one, it meant it was over

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A View to a Kill?

Wow- a total rewrite was needed

Any additional comments?

This was a short story, very hastily & poorly written. No character development beyond figuring out that the hero is a complete self-centered jerk & the heroine is spineless. No real story here. SPOILERS: Hero beds heroine (after she begs him), abandons her, is mad when he comes back a year later & she has someone else. She almost immediately forgives him & cheats on her very nice fiancee with this jerk. Gah! This was awful.

Would you try another book from Diana DeRicci and/or Terran McGahae?

Not without a gun to my head.

Has Watching Her Every Move turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, it is the performance and the production quality that are shockingly bad.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Terran McGahae?

Anyone else on the planet. She is awful.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger at the total waste of money. It is shocking that Audible allows this unprofessional mess on its site.

Any additional comments?

Please listen to the sample before you consider buying this book. That is where I made my mistake. The narrator sounds like a teenager speaking into a tin bucket. Seriously, is this a senior high drama student using a 1980's cassette recorder? I can't comment on the quality of the story, because I only made it about two minutes into the book before I gave up in disgust and anger.
