Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Loved that Prince Harry narrated his own book.

I enjoyed this book and Prince Harry is a great author. I pray that he, Meghan and their children can find peace and stay safe. Best wishes

Historia
At 28, Stephanie Land's dreams of attending a university and becoming a writer quickly dissolved when a summer fling turned into an unplanned pregnancy. Before long, she found herself a single mother, scraping by as a housekeeper to make ends meet. Maid is an emotionally raw, masterful account of Stephanie's years spent in service to upper-middle-class America as a "nameless ghost" who quietly shared in her clients' triumphs, tragedies, and deepest secrets.

Did not enjoy, don’t waste your time!!
Revisado: 12-02-21
Story was too “poor me” attitude and she didn’t need to continue to be a maid, there are other jobs. I did the same work when I was young and it isn’t that bad. My mom also had to be on government assistance and she doesn’t represent that well. This is what’s wrong with society. Hard work pays off but you also need to take responsibility for your actions.

Historia
At the start of this edgy and ambitiously multilayered novel - a National Book Award Finalist - a fashion model named Charlotte Swenson emerges from a car accident in her Illinois hometown with her face so badly shattered that it takes 80 titanium screws to reassemble it. She returns to New York still beautiful but oddly unrecognizable. With the surreal authority of a David Lynch, Jennifer Egan threads Charlotte’s narrative with those of other casualties of our infatuation with the image.

Hard to follow
Revisado: 07-20-20
Hard to follow and didn’t understand the book. I kept listening thinking it would get better and then when I had gotten halfway through I couldn’t stop but it was a waste of my time and I hate to say that since this was somebody’s work but there was no point to the book or at least not that I could understand. I read another book by Jennifer Egan and loved it so was hoping this would be a good author I could follow but this book was not great

Historia
For makeup artist Grace Barrett, Hollywood isn't the land of golden opportunity. It's the land of difficult divas, cheating boyfriends and unemployment. So when her great-aunt offers her a free place to stay in Jackson Hole, Grace thinks she'll spend a little time in the sticks to figure out her life, and then move somewhere exciting to live out her dreams. But it turns out that there are a few more thrills in this small town than Grace was expecting….

Narrator isn’t great
Revisado: 01-23-20
The narrator sounds like she is 60 years old and it doesn’t match the storyline. I only listened to about five minutes before I returned the book. It sounded like a good story but I’m not wasting my time being annoyed by the narrator not matching the woman in the book
