Historia
For centuries, the Church has observed the Lord’s Supper as part of corporate worship, instituted by Jesus Himself. But for many Christians today, this tradition can be a confusing ritual. Are we missing something in this ancient sacrament? Beni and Bill Johnson - best-selling authors and senior leaders of Bethel Church in Redding, California - had a miraculous revelation while celebrating communion. In The Power of Communion, they reveal how this sacred practice is an often overlooked opportunity to release God’s power in your life!

Great Content, weird recording.

I loved this book, don't get me wrong. The content and the stories and the experience Beni Johnson teaches, truly brings communion to new life. My only complaint, is the reader. She pronounces common words, so oddly! Like the word Prophetic, or Prophetically, also lymph nodes and the word Psalms...not palms. It's really a small thing.

Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.

Long and Lavish, but great read/listen

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would recommend this book. It is definitely LONG! But, sometimes I like that. The characters and their stories were quite enjoyable. It was interesting how he made them twist and intersect. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
What did you like best about this story?
The way he used history to be the background of interesting characters and the way he interwove their stories.
What does John Lee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
no cramps in your hands from trying to hold an incredible HUGE book. haha

A Grown Up Novel for Harry Potter Fans

What did you love best about A Discovery of Witches?
I liked the story. It was a bit slow at parts, but the characters were interesting and the plot did move along. I am very excited for the sequel to come out. It has taken forever! I liked that the characters were older and not kids. But it still has the witches/vampires/etc... that I enjoy in this genre. I would definitely read it again.

Historia
Thriller scribe Sophie Katz is as hard-boiled as a woman who drinks Grande Caramel Brownie Frappuccionos can be. So Sophie knows it's not paranoia, or post-divorce, living-alone-again jitters, when she becomes convinced that a crazed reader is sneaking into her apartment to reenact scenes from her books. The police, however, can't tell a good plot from an unmarked grave.

So FUNNY!!!
Revisado: 04-26-12
What did you love best about Sex, Murder, and a Double Latte?
I completely love all the characters in this series, especially Sophie Katz. This is not a series for the serious mystery enthusiast. But it is a very entertaining series for "junk" reading. I just love a good laugh and this series makes me laugh so much! I have listened to the whole series several times.
What other book might you compare Sex, Murder, and a Double Latte to and why?
Probably Janet Evanovich's One for the Money series.
Have you listened to any of Gabra Zackman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I think her voices are very fun, and sometimes I forget it is just one voice!
