I always love a series ending. Great narrator. I’m glad I bought the book. I do wish it was a bit tighter though. I found myself hitting the 30 second skip button quite a bit after about the half way mark. I felt like it took on a slice of life component I wasn’t looking for.
But a great achievement for the author for sure

Why the bloat?

8 hours of a story, wrapped in a bunch of skill and loot bloat. I thought the genre had matured past explaining and mulling over every skill choice and all the new loot and how it’ll boost the character. It’s not bad to keep in a book, just the amount of the book explaining skills that then don’t get used seems like a way to artificially thicken the book.
Story moved on as expected, at this point you know what you’re getting in this series.

Moves at a good pace

I like that there’s not a ton of stats and skills to hear about leveling up, love that the plot led to something, but the mimic voice was rough. I’d often hit the skip button when I started hearing .
Pretty sure I’ll keep on with the series.
