Hiaason is always a good read and Razor Girl keeps up with his usual array of zany characters and equally zany plot twists. Thanks again, Carl.

I didn't know much about the man behind my Tesla. It's encouraging to know that there are still people out there willing to fight for the right to make a positive difference in our lives. The book is well written and informative.

Reacher is great

The story is typical Reacher action, although he seems to be getting a little more hard core as he ages. Scott Brick could read the phone book (anybody remember phone books?) and it would be entertaining. The only fault that I found in this story is the unbelievable nature of a key part of the book. Without giving too much away, Reacher is trying to help an elderly couple who have financial problems. The way they developed these problems is just not believable. It distracted from the story as it kept coming up as an issue.

Given up on Grisham

I used to enjoy John Grisham's novels and the man still knows how to write. It's what he writes that is so disappointing. I read Bleachers and I thought it was some type of pitch for a soap opera. At that time, I felt that Bleachers was the last straw; as I thought that Grisham's work was on a steady downward spiral. However, I read the reviews on this book and I thought I'd give it a chance. What a mistake. He uses the novel as a platform to rail against the unjust nature of our legal system. He's like a dog with a bone on the subject and he won't let it go. It was a political commentary, not a book with any direction. I'm done.

A slow pace with only a few surprises. A nice ending but an implausible story from the get go.
