Rotten Narration
Revisado: 11-25-24
The narrator ruined the whole thing for me with her sing song narrating! It got so bad I had to turn it off and buy the book to read. If they use this narrator again I will not be purchasing the audio book. Doesn’t check the narration before they release these books?

Ridiculous Narration!
Revisado: 08-14-24
While I loved the story and catching up with the goings on of all the characters, I wanted to claw my eyes out from the pitiful narration. Between the awful mispronunciation of so many words, the big breaths between sentences and the narrator talking through her nose I could barely finish. Don’t they proof listen before they release these books? Holly Fielding has got to be one of the worst narrators I have listened to so far!

Good Story…Narration is MISERABLE
Revisado: 03-05-24
The story was good but the narrator absolutely ruined it. The accents were ridiculously stupid sounding and most of the time you couldn’t distinguish between characters. Please find a different narrator..

Dreadful Narration!
Revisado: 01-24-23
I listened to the first two books in this series and while I loved the stories the narration left A LOT to be desired. When I saw this book had a different narrator I was happy to listen...I barely made it through one chapter before I quit! I suggest skipping this audio version and just reading the book. I will NEVER buy another book with this narrator, she is beyond HORRIBLE!!!

The Narrator Ruined it For me
Revisado: 11-09-22
I loved this series and Christy Barritt is an outstanding author. The narrator destroyed the entire series for me however. Between the mispronunciation of words and over exaggeration of the "G's" at the end of words, the whiney voice and the slurpy sound she makes when she reads it was so annoying and distracting that I had a hard time even listening. She sounds very unprofessional and much like a grade schooler. It makes me wonder if anyone listens before they are released.
I am excited to listen to the next series, especially since Dara Rosenberg isn't narrating!

Distracting Narrator
Revisado: 10-10-22
I cannot stand the "Whiney" voice of this awful narrator. Between that and the fact that she sounds like she has a mouthful of water is so distracting it's hard to even listen. While I love Christy Barritts books her choice narrators for this series and the one before it are so disappointing. Needless to say I won't be buying anymore of her audio books...

Cute Story
Revisado: 07-20-22
I love the story and get a big kick out of Millie and her antics. The first two books were very good and then they switched narrators which is extremely disappointing. This narrator reads like she is in a race to finish. I had to slow it down and it was still horrible. She speaks with an awful nasal tone and sounds like she has a mouth full of water. I will not be purchasing any more of these books because of the awful narration which is very sad because I really love the stories!

Story OK...The Narrator is Awful
Revisado: 02-23-22
While I thought the story was ok, the narrator sounded like a 7th grader speaking with a retainer in her mouth! It was very frustrating so I gave up and read the book...

Awesome New Addition to a Great Series
Revisado: 09-15-21
I love this series and Melinda Leigh is a terrific author. The story is intriguing and keeps you interested up to the very last word. I would recommend reading to book to anyone interested in a great story!
The narration for this book on the other hand leaves A LOT to be desired. It is completely awful, the narrator over exaggerates her words, continuously raises and lowers her voice for no apparent reason, pronounces words wrong and makes the characters sound like they are depressed or drugged! Her male voice is absolutely pathetic...if she narrates the next book I will definitely NOT purchase it.
I wish Audible would preview these books before they are released. This one had several spots that sounded like they were recorded in a tunnel and then pieced together. It is very distracting and it is completely unfair to the author have such horrible narration and production!
