I really enjoyed hearing this account of the Battle of Britain, especially since this version tells you the successes and failures of both Britain and Germany. Really interesting.

Great History
Revisado: 01-05-25
This book fully details the bombing campaign in Europe during WWII. It is not a narrative, per se, but is nevertheless fascinating. Great listening!

Historia
John Boyd may be the most remarkable unsung hero in all of American military history. Some remember him as the greatest US fighter pilot ever - the man who, in simulated air-to-air combat, defeated every challenger in less than 40 seconds. Some recall him as the father of our country's most legendary fighter aircraft - the F-15 and F-16. Still, others think of Boyd as the most influential military theorist since Sun Tzu. They know only half the story.

Excellent Book
Revisado: 11-12-24
This book was recommended by an aviation buff. I said I’d listen to it but wasn’t expecting much. However, I was drawn in. This man’s accomplishments and influence, though often inacknowledged, is incredible. This really was one of the most interesting books I have listened to in a long time.

Historia
Earth is not well. The promise of starting life anew somewhere far, far away—no climate change, no war, no Twitter—beckons, and settling the stars finally seems within our grasp. Or is it? Critically acclaimed, bestselling authors Kelly and Zach Weinersmith set out to write the essential guide to a glorious future of space settlements, but after years of research, they aren’t so sure it’s a good idea.

Historia
Why do women live longer than men? Why do women have menopause? Why are women more likely to get Alzheimer’s? Why do girls score better at every academic subject than boys until puberty, when suddenly their scores plummet? And does the female brain really exist? In Eve, Cat Bohannon answers questions scientists should have been addressing for decades. With boundless curiosity and sharp wit, she covers the past 200 million years to explain the specific science behind the development of the female sex.

Untaught history
Revisado: 02-13-24
The role of females in our evolution has not ever been adequately taught. This book thoroughly goes through many of the ways females have influenced female evolution. I hope this is a starting point to understanding the role of females in our evolutionary history.

Historia
We humans are the inheritors of a dynasty that has reigned over the planet for nearly 66 million years, through fiery cataclysm and ice ages: the mammals. Our lineage includes saber-toothed tigers, woolly mammoths, armadillos the size of a car, cave bears three times the weight of a grizzly, clever scurriers that outlasted Tyrannosaurus rex, and even other types of humans, like Neanderthals.
