Historia
In February 1959, a group of nine experienced hikers in the Russian Ural Mountains died mysteriously on an elevation known as Dead Mountain. Eerie aspects of the incident—unexplained violent injuries, signs that they cut open and fled the tent without proper clothing or shoes, a strange final photograph taken by one of the hikers, and elevated levels of radiation found on some of their clothes—have led to decades of speculation over what really happened.

Brilliant

Beautifully written. In the end, it may take away a lot of the mystery surrounding what happened to these brave hikers, but I really feel the author makes a compelling case as to what most likely happened that night.

Historia
The original idea came to co-author Mary Harrison when she observed her youngest son, Leon, trying to pick flowers from a floral pattern on her bed cover. The infant's actions seemed so quirky and amusing that Mary was prompted to write a letter to Woman's Own magazine which was subsequently published. Mary asked if other mothers had experiences similar "odd" moments with their little ones.

Chapter 6, 1:11 there is a burb and a sing-song yawn...not properly edited. but that's okay, just never heard anything like it in an audiobook.

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It was suggested for me, and for some reason I hesitated to purchase/download, however I really liked it! I think it's the sort of book that can speak to many different people, for different reasons.
Narration was good. I didnt realize until the very end that it was actually read by the author. Overall, a very good listen. Much thanks & well wishes to the author!

Hesitated to buy due to other reviews that I read, but do not regret it. I have read many other books on the subject and surprisingly enough, this one had some new and interesting stuff to offer. Narrator was good.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. it was definitely unique, well written, and unimaginably fun.
I am left hoping to find another book to live up to the standards set by this one.
