Historia
The world waits for no one. While Boxxy is off chasing shinies and delving dungeons abroad, Azurvale's shadows churn, fester, and ferment into a potent cocktail of trouble. Secret organizations maneuver behind the scenes, patiently advancing their nefarious plots. Government agencies lay in wait, ready to pounce at the first sign of trouble. Powerful adventurers gear up and train for the next challenge, uncertain as to what form it might take.

What a Banger
Revisado: 03-09-23
Soundbooth has really upped their game and added more effects, more actors, and more music. That said, this is a banger of a story. If you're this far in the series, you are eagerly awaiting a particular reunion. If you enjoy listening to Boxxy lay the beat-down, then you've got a treat in store for you. If you want to see the overall plot develop further then you won't be disappointed. I'm on the fence about Stain, as they feel a slight bit tacked on. However, they also don't take anything away from the flow of the book. As usual I'm left with a need for the next book to see what happens next!

Historia
At a glance, the dwarves and gnomes of the Horkensaft Kingdom are two peoples who are worlds apart. The former are seen as hardcore traditionalists hell-bent on maintaining the status quo, while the latter only look ever forward and upward as they grasp at the future with both hands. And yet, these two seemingly opposing cultures serve as a counter-balance to each other, creating a civilization that draws upon the wisdom of the past to face new challenges.

Another great performance by an ensemble cast, with more mayhem and carnage, Boxxy Style. If you've been reading the series, you need this book like plants need sun and Redditors need to correct punctuation.

Historia
The arrival of vast, alien, inhuman intelligences reshaped the landscape for human affairs across the world, and the United Kingdom is no exception. Things have changed in Britain since the dread elder god Nyarlathotep ascended to the rank of prime minister. In America, a thousand-mile-wide storm system has blanketed the Midwest, and the president is nowhere to be found. The government has been infiltrated by the shadowy Black Chamber, and the Pentagon and NASA have been refocused on the problem of summoning Cthulhu.

Revisado: 08-02-19
This series is a freight train on a downhill slope with no brakes. Mary Murphy is back with her new boy toy, and this time she's taking Manhattan. What about Bob? Alex? Mo? Just have to read to get updates on them.

Historia
Ashok Vadal was once a member of the highest caste in all of Lok. As a Protector, he devoted his life to upholding the Law, rooting out those who still practiced the old ways and delivering justice with his ancestor blade Angruvadal. None was more merciless than he in stamping out the lingering belief in gods and demons among the casteless. His brutality was legendary and celebrated. But soon Ashok learned that his life to that point had been a lie. He himself, senior member of the Protector Order, was casteless. He had been nothing more than an unwitting pawn in a political game.

Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggggg!!!!!!!
So the book was really good. But now I have to wait an indeterminate amount of time to resolve this cliffhanger. My advice is to wait for the next book before buying this one so you won't lose sleep over it. :)

Epic Epicness
Revisado: 10-13-16
if you've made it this far in the series, you owe it to yourself to keep going. If you're just starting out, then you need to Google the series and figure out where it starts. This is the continuation of an epic Saga, and if you're this far into it you really need to keep working to find out what's going to happen next.

Historia
With The Alloy of Law, Brandon Sanderson surprised listeners with a New York Times best-selling spinoff of his Mistborn audiobooks, set after the action of the trilogy, in a period corresponding to late 19th-century America. The trilogy's heroes are now figures of myth and legend, even objects of religious veneration. They are succeeded by wonderful new characters, chief among them Waxillium Ladrian, known as Wax, hereditary lord of House Ladrian.

The Little Series that Could
Revisado: 10-02-16
After 4 books, each one featuring apocalyptic events and the rebooting of an entire planet, you might think a little thing like some domestic unrest is a little boring. You might also think the new breed of "one trick pony" heroes would be less interesting than those mighty mistborn. But if you thought that, you're sadly mist-taken! The story keeps unfolding, and Sanderson clearly has more tricks up his sleeve to show us.

Its a Larry Correia Story - review over.
Revisado: 04-21-16
Bronson Pinchot brings his awesome voice work to yet another Larry Correia story. Since Larry Correia wrote it, you know it's going to be good. Instead of magic and supernatural horror, this is a story about war, conspiracy, love, loss, and buttloads of guns. This ain't no place for a hero.

Good story, bad reading.
Revisado: 04-07-16
The narrator does a nice job with voices most of the time, but does a terrible job with pronunciation, to the point where you just have to pause and wonder.
The story moves the series along, continuing to add detail and grow characters. You'll wonder where the author is going a few times, but overall a good read/listen.

Time for a Grown Up Narrator
Revisado: 10-11-12
Would you listen to The Heroes of Olympus, Book One: The Lost Hero again? Why?
I've listened to it three times. This is an amazing story & really showcases Rick Riordan's talent.
What did you like best about this story?
When you start a new series with brand new characters, you always wonder if it will be the same, or just a pale imitation. The way Rick is tying this new series in with the old one is fantastic. The way the characters are growing, and the challenges they face continue to grow with them, brings life & reality to the series.
Did Joshua Swanson do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Josh Swanson was a great choice for a Narrator when the demigods were all dopey little adolescents. But they're teens transitioning into adulthood, and this narrator is actually holding back the series now. It's time for someone like Kate Redding, who read the Codex Alera & the Wheel of Time, to take the reigns.
