Historia
For generations one family has been haunted by something... something that stalks. It sees and listens, it watches and follows. In the shadows and mist it waits, to take you, to hurt you, perhaps to kill you. If it doesn't kill you, you'll wish it did. A creepy, suspenseful saga of family, horror, and mystery, this is one story sure to leave you frightened of the woods at night, fog, and all things tall and slender.

Excellent characters and relationships
Revisado: 05-31-19
Karen Slaughter sure knows how to write sisters. And mother/daughter relationships. This story starts off at a sprint, front loaded with action, but doesn’t quite sustain the pace.

Unflinching
Revisado: 05-31-19
Completely compelling story. Characters are totally dimensional and relationships are authentic, especially the sisters. Narration is excellent. Between the writing and the narration I could “see” everything. Couldn’t stop listening even though I’d read the book before. It is gory and gruesome and revolves around some horrific subject matter, so not for the faint of heart.

French at her finest
Revisado: 01-13-19
Settle in. You’re in good hands. Listen as Paul Nugent deftly spins Tana French’s latest yarn. Rich with the classic French depth of detail and lyrical imagery, you’ll feel like you are right smack in the middle of every scene. The characters are intricately layered, very, very human, and gorgeously narrated.
The Witch Elm does not center around the Dublin Murder Squad, but there is no shortage of complex detectives, seen from the outside in, this time, which is an intriguing perspective.
I loved every minute of it.
