As a climate activist for more than 6 years this is one of the best books about untold history and how to communicate courage, hope and joy. Rebecca looked at crises from a longer view of time and wider perspective of movements. I will come back to it again and again.

Joanna and Chris provided many practice prompts and items for daily practice to root and recommit our advocacy in climate, justice, joy and life. I bought the paper copy and will keep it with me for my practice for years to come

It’s so soothing and healing to listen to Terry Tempest Williams read her own powerful words. This collection of writings offer personal reflection and stories on her relationship with the lands, and the intersectionality of climate, laws, justice and our principles as humans. I listened to the reading before bed and it’s like a guided meditation. Everyone needs to read this.

It explained not from a Buddhist perspective, but from a spiritual understanding with easy to understand examples. Really enjoy it.

This is THE environmental book everyone needs to read. I’ve read many throughout the years as a climate activist, yet Braiding Sweetgrass is the one book that links culture, history, justice, climate, and colonialism together. It makes the connection between moral values and the climate crisis, and provides solutions with vivid descriptions of indigenous stories. And the reading performance is one of the best. It’s so soothing and heartwarming as the meditation before sleep. Must listen to all.

Unlike most climate narratives and writings, AllWe Can Save is the book we all need now. It communicates the urgency without overwhelming. It honestly address the grief many feel in the face of the climate crisis; yet provides the much needed emotion support and validation of collective grief. It’s written with determined, gentle and nurturing energy. The performance of the essays are hilarious, moving, provoking and empowering. Beautifully done.

One of the most books I’ve read. It shows Melinda’s vulnerability and her own messy yet determined experience of find her voices through connections with her unlikely heroes in the book.

Everyone has to read this. It talks about how to refrán climate change to touch people emotionally to spark actions. It uses lots and lots of example for unlikely climate heros, including Republicans, evangelical Christians, and many more. It makes me hopeful and determined in my continuous climate work.
