Historia
Most people run from disasters, but for people like Jake it's your job to get to one as fast as you can. This time he is not so sure he wants to go. A major global pandemic is going on and a major hurricane has just hit the Gulf Coast. To make matters worse, the government is forcing the evacuees back to the storm stricken cities or placing them in isolation and quarantine. His chances of helping others or becoming a casualty himself have just taken a turn for the worse as the U.S. declares martial law for a storm ravaged coast.

I wanted more... but it was a nice read
Revisado: 09-12-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Driving Towards Disaster to be better than the print version?
no idea
Would you recommend Driving Towards Disaster to your friends? Why or why not?
sure. it is nice road trip material (especially now)
What three words best describe Phil Williams’s performance?
okay typical cute
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
not necessarily... it mostly made me think about my friends and family and the ways the government discriminates against and preys on them... but yeah, i enjoyed human natures coming thru (the way he was helped despite great reason not to trust or the way his job/existence was made difficult by jerks)
Any additional comments?
I wanted more from it. Ended in a weird place for me... felt rushed to finish...

Historia
Whispering Pines is a classic, quiet, private American subdivision on the edge of Asheville, NC, set in the pristine Blue Ridge Mountains. Which is good since the zombie apocalypse has come to Western North Carolina and really put suburban living to the test! Surrounded by a sea of the undead, the residents of Whispering Pines have adapted their bucolic life of block parties to scavenging parties, common area groundskeeping to immediate area warfare, neighborhood beautification to neighborhood fortification.

Great Road Trip Material
Revisado: 09-12-17
What made the experience of listening to Z-Burbia the most enjoyable?
I listened to this on a road trip and I found it enjoyable. I was annoyed when I had to stop for gas etc and wanted to keep listening. The reader was enjoyable and I liked his attempt at different voices etc. Very cute. But yeah, the story was good even though it very closely resembled The Walking Dead in a number of ways, granted that is a particularly common story theme in these types of novels.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I wanted it to continue... I wanted more. Another book maybe.
Which character – as performed by Andrew B. Wehrlen – was your favorite?
maybe the cannibal girl?
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really. I enjoyed the pacing and story sequencing... and the details included.
Any additional comments?
Good job. Great read, especially on a road trip with your truck full of preps ;)
