Historia
It is a simple question that is as profound as any we can ask: “Who am I?” Dr. Vikram Anthony is that rare person who believes the answer is relatively simple. I am my work; I am my skill; I am my mind. It is only when the noted surgeon faces his own mortality that the answer gets more complex. And the opportunity for a new life–a decidedly different life–opens a world of possibilities he’d never imagined.

Not very thought provoking, kinda dull and unoriginal. I think most other listens are more worth your time.

Historia
On a snowy New Year's Eve, Fennrick negotiates one last hurrah in a seedy internet cafe, but at the stroke of midnight, he receives a tantalizing invitation: "You have been invited to join the Tutorial." And when presented with the available difficulty levels, he makes the obvious choice: Hell. Soon, Fennrick finds himself in frenzied, violent combat, and it's a toss-up as to which he'll lose first: his life or what little sanity he has left. With his criminal record, estranged family, and nonexistent future, he's ready to accept death.

A must read for thrill seeking litrpg fans.

Too many stories don’t torture their isekai weak-to-strong MC enough. This story gets a lot closer to that ideal. Unfortunately, the main character is rewarded for this suffering, but most readers will enjoy this regardless.
Hilarious story, tear jerking moments, adorable psychopathic viewpoint, a fantastic (yummy) narration and likely to be the best litrpg you’ve ever read.
I strongly recommend this read to people who thought “the tutorial is too hard” was too easy and self-inserty. I also strongly recommend anybody reading this review to buy this book now.

Good purchase, some technical stuff could be improved.

Great narrator. I’ll try to keep an updated list of what books are oddly included or skipped entirely as I listen through.
-includes the wogglebug book, not important toward the overall series and contains racist caricatures
Books 3 and 4 are switched.
The chapter view could be much clearer on which books are where.

Historia
Having narrowly escaped with their lives from the redoubt near Cornerstone, the Deathlands survivors known as the Companions arrive via mat-trans at a destination they presume to be North Dakota, if the mysterious codes given them while in Cornerstone are accurate. That assumption is soon put in doubt as they discover a devastated city covered in continual ashfall, a sky perpetually obscured by black clouds illuminated only by sporadic lightning. The former metropolis is not deserted, however, but densely populated with ravening hordes of barely human creatures.

Historia
Kaiju: Battlefield Surgeon. Survival horror. One of the most brutal, most terrifying full-immersion games ever made. A place where fantasy characters such as elves and dwarves clash with technology, where giant monsters roam the hills, entrusted with protecting the gates of heaven from the demons who would tear it all down. A game where one plays the last of the battlefield surgeons: a healer tasked with keeping the behemoths alive at all costs. But on this server, they don't care about the game. They've come because of the game's most unique feature: full pain.

Fantastic

I think we need more Litrpgs like this. Less wish fulfillment and more grit. I liked this book and understand why others may call it depressing; the ending isn’t happy, but it is so so so good.
Warning; book is a little slow for the first half; worth it.
Further warning; there is gross donkey stuff.
