This book is fucking amazing through and through. I am not a huge fan of RPGs nor video games as a whole. This book had everything going against it for me to like, and yet I’m sitting here preparing to purchase the second book right away and start it now, who cares that I’m supposed to finish Skeleton Crew! I need more now! GLURP GLURP!

Truly a fantastic listen, the narrator does an amazing job playing all the characters and with a little extra effects truly builds the world for the listener. The story is beautiful, a fight to survive and just an all around funny story. 10/10

In Absence of Fear is a really intriguing read, especially if you're into dystopian fiction. The concept is pretty wild—imagine a world where fear is completely eliminated thanks to technology. At first, it seems like a great idea, but as the story unfolds, you start to see the cracks in this so-called perfect society.

The main character, starts to question everything, and that’s when the book gets really interesting. Chaney does a great job of pulling you into this world, making you think about what life would actually be like without fear. The story is thought-provoking and makes you reflect on how important fear is to our lives, even though we often wish it away.

The pacing can be a bit slow in some parts, but overall, it’s a compelling read. If you enjoy stories that make you think about the bigger picture, *In Absence of Fear* is worth checking out. It’s one of those books that stays with you long after you’re done reading.

I truly enjoyed this book, I’ve always loved SK short stories and this book is no different. It’s far too difficult to pick a favorite but in the spirit of reviews I will do my best.

I personally really enjoyed Danny Coughlin’s Bad Dream. As a big true crimes fan and just general really enjoy detective style stories I really enjoyed this one. It was masterful writing that brought all to image in my head! 10/10

If you’re looking for a book that breaks down the mind of Gary Ridgeway, seek a different book. This book is heavily focused on the investigation, GR isn’t even mentioned till the second to last chapter. Great listen, I love Keith! He is a fantastic narrator

John Douglas was wrong about BTK years before he was caught. This book is him trying to rationalize his prior remarks.
