I enjoyed the return to my childhood, and the influences on a young boy. The book just kind of left things little bit unfinished with me. Of course I guess that’s actually the point of the book is that you know it just really never gets good in that line of work and that class of life, I’m a catalyst at heart and this book really kind of leads to being halfway supporting socialism.

I really enjoy how Johnstone closes all the windows and locks the door before he decides to leave the story. I’m not sure why Matt is considered the last mountain man, but I’m sure that will be revealed in future books about him. I think the title of Justified Justice would have been extremely appropriate.

I really appreciated the deepening of the character. Much more unpredictable than McAlister series. Narrator was perfect for my visualization of the Preacher. I love that Preacher follows through. My motto is ‘say what you mean and mean what you say’. This story fits perfect!!
