Historia
I’d known exactly who he was—the Unseelie prince. But I hadn’t known just what he was. I’d been fooled. The creature I’d formed a tentative friendship with in my family’s dungeon was not the gentle, intriguing prince I’d thought him to be. He was a monster. A bloodthirsty beast. And I’d helped him escape my uncle’s clutches. Such a betrayal called for severe consequences, and the price of releasing the biggest threat our kingdom had faced in hundreds of years was not one I would survive.

Historia
From bestselling author Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquleaure. In the traditional folktale of 'Sleeping Beauty,' the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation.

Unsure of rating
Revisado: 10-11-22
Sexual expression would be the key words to describe this book. It is very much a sadomasochism book. BDSM to its more extreme, a kind of sexual fairytale cult. Is it well written and I did enjoy the book but it would be classified as, I have to be in the mood for this kind of book. It’s not a casual read.

Mixed feelings
Revisado: 09-26-22
Was the story well written: yes
Solid Plot: Yes
Entertaining; yes mostly
Scary: semi
I really enjoy Stephen King most of the time; although I did enjoy the book I feel like I was left wanting. For what I do not know. I loved the creativity of the book. It started off wicked slow world building and forming the characters. Around half way through the book is when it took off. The only thing I perhaps didn’t like about the book is perhaps the political points the author made. I get enough of that discord on TikTok and everywhere else I wasn’t looking for it in a get away. With that being said I would be interested in his opinions just not in his fictional novels. Perhaps a biography with a chapter or two on his political standings and why. Same goes for all authors. Propaganda sucks.

The story is good but it’s for the youth of the nation. 13-20 would be a good age group.

Wowza
Revisado: 08-16-22
Great book; allot to unpack. I won’t give anything away no spoilers. But the book is worth reading. However; this book has very very dark elements and I love my very very dark books, unless it involves children then I get a little antsy and anxious. This book would be one of those books, with that being said I loved it. The author has a solid plot very suspenseful especially as the book progresses. The spice level is a three or so nothing super in depth; just allot of spice talk the way you would bring it up or explain to a good friend. I would suggest this book for the older adult crowd. The youth of the nation doesn’t need this kind of book in their lives. I would suggest over 26 probably a smidge older.
Ok well I have allot to digest and analyze.

Historia
In the slums of 18th-century France, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille is born with one sublime gift - an absolute sense of smell. As a boy, he lives to decipher the odors of Paris and apprentices himself to a prominent perfumer who teaches him the ancient art of mixing precious oils and herbs. But Grenouille's genius is such that he is not satisfied to stop there, and he becomes obsessed with capturing the smells of objects. Then one day, he catches a hint of a scent that will drive him on an ever-more-terrifying quest to create the "ultimate perfume" - the scent of a beautiful young virgin.

This book is very well written and absolutely fantastic. Very pleased with my purchase. This book is multiple points of view and follows the murder through his life’s journey. I would suggest people 18+ for this book. It is very much adult. There are triggers so do research.

Historia
After Cora Glass’s life was stolen by Harrow Faire, things just keep going from bad to worse. Unable to run, unable to escape, there seems to be no way to avoid what she’s become - the Contortionist. But a girl can only take so much. Haunted by an abandoned and seemingly sentient circus? Fine. The life of her best friend threatened unless she sacrificed herself? Fine. Tormented and stalked by a grinning madman who wanted to kill her, and now wants to do worse? That’s where Cora has to draw the line.

Adored, but…
Revisado: 07-14-22
Ok so I absolutely adore this author and her creativity in literature. However, as much as I adore this story I despise the political pandering in this book. I will for sure continue reading the series but if you don’t like political opinions in the books you chose regardless of political opinion avoid this book.
I typically instantly stop reading the second I get a whiff of anything political as far as modern day political rubbish goes, but I love the story to much, so I tolerate it. When I am enjoying a truly amazing piece of literature especially fictional I don’t want to be blind sided by modern BS. I want to escape into a new realm of enchantment not controversy in modern political opinions and wars. Thank you. Besides political views in any given human is ever changing as any healthy human you should grow politics are no different. You may feel like a fool in twenty years publishing your beliefs now if your outlook matures and morphs with a new understanding.

Not a fan
Revisado: 06-02-22
Honestly I just didn’t like the heroine at all. She is cocky incredibly rude and her self worth is out of this world. She a a 30 YO who acts like the most brilliant star within the sky. She throws her self worth in everybody’s face like she is gods gift to this earth she was honestly just so very cringe worthy.
The political aspect to this book was perfect it mentions politics but the author does not make their political opinions obvious that is very admirable and tasteful on the authors part.
The story line itself is unique a half breed human fae boxer with cool unique twists to common creatures and fictional characters.
