It’s John Piper talking to leaders.
Revisado: 07-03-23
If you currently serve in church leadership, or want to, then this is for you. Please read/listen multiple times. If that’s not you, that’s totally fine. Piper has tons of great stuff for you. Then please recommend to the ministry leaders you do know.

Historia
Neal Stephenson is a blazing new force on the sci-fi scene. With the groundbreaking cyberpunk novel Snow Crash, he has "vaulted onto the literary stage." It weaves virtual reality, Sumerian myth, and just about everything in between with a cool, hip cybersensibility - in short, it is the gigathriller of the information age.

If Tarantino wrote sci-fi, for better and worse
Revisado: 11-07-20
If Quentin Tarantino wrote sci-fi, he’d write a book like Snow Crash. For better and worse: tangents that you end up remembering more than the “plot”, clever twists on ancient ideas, and absolutely *must-skip* scenes.
The biggest fans were right: the book is brilliant. It mixes so many themes so cleverly and intelligently. The biggest critics were also right: this book is crass and not for everyone; believe the content warnings. I skipped certain sections and am happy I did.
I’m shocked at how frequently Stephenson alternates between genuinely interesting, thoughtful moments and then in the same breath unabashed boyish stupidity. Insightful and clever, then juvenile and pointless. Like I said, Tarantino.

But wow. The audio presentation is incredible. I was astonished, multiple times per chapter, how one person could portray so many characters I’ve never met, so believably. Likewise for the effects and deisgn team. 10/10. I will look for their names on audio in the future.
