Where does A Man Called Ove rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Man Called Ove?

Gaining insight, little by little, into the truly great guy Ove was. At first I wanted to hate him -the grumpy old goat -- but I adored him at the end.

Which character – as performed by George Newbern – was your favorite?

Ove

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

Any additional comments?

Again, I say, "Believe all the positive comments!"

What made the experience of listening to The Perks of Being a Wallflower the most enjoyable?

Wondering what was behind Charlie's anxiety. The characters all resonated with me, just loved them all & the story, too!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Perks of Being a Wallflower?

Charlie's feeling of being infinite brought back a long ago memory of a similar group of friends and a snowy winter afternoon.

What does Noah Galvin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He made Charlie and his friends real.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both! And a lot!

Any additional comments?

It's a must read for any age group.

Would you try another book from Jennifer L. Scott and/or Amy Rubinate?

If you have a mom, she probably already gave you nearly all the advice in this book, and probably with a better sense of humor. Here's a brief summary -- and if considering buying it, the only one you need: Dress as well as you can, be presentable, spend a little time on your appearance, don't wear way too much makeup, use good manners, limit the junk food, don't spend foolishly on things you don't need (like this book), keep the house tidy, and don't lie around like a lazy bum.

The reader sounds as about as tired and bored with the material as I am halfway into this useless book.

What was most disappointing about Jennifer L. Scott’s story?

I didn't learn anything new.

Would you be willing to try another one of Amy Rubinate’s performances?

Good grief no! I listen at work and found myself nodding off frequently!

Was Lessons from Madame Chic worth the listening time?

If you've been living under a rock, perhaps the book would help.

Would you listen to The Secret Keeper again? Why?

I usually never read or listen to a book more than once. Same for movies. You know what happens already

Have you listened to any of Caroline Lee’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Any additional comments?

Just an awesome story, loved the characters and the mystery involved!

A great yarn, an eerie page-turner that's right on the mark. I have made the mistake of listening mainly to so-called intellectual type books -- the types often picked by book clubs (though I'm not in a book club myself). A lot of those books really are worthwhile, but I'm glad I took the plunge and got the chance to enjoy a truly fun thriller that didn't want it to end! Get this book if you like a little fright & mystery.

What started as an interesting fictional story about the Columbine tragedy, started to meander and was complicated by a long & tedious family history of the main character. That family history was necessary to bring the story together at the end but could have been cut WAAAAY down. I found myself half listening to those parts. And the family history parts were made even more tedious, because they were written in the manner of long ago, with never-ending, overly polite descriptions of every detail. I was glad when I finished it.

This book was great. My first experience with Wally Lamb's writing, but not the last.

Keef, you've written a brutally honest, funny, and at times soul baring memoir! In case any disappointed reviewers here have been living under a rock, The Rolling Stones is a "bad boy" band -- and they're proud of it. Drugs, sex, self-indulgence, crude & rowdy behavior... would you expect anything less from Keith's autobiography? The Stones music was a huge part of the soundtrack of my youth, and hearing their history from Keith's point of view has been so much fun. Joe Hurley put the British spin on Keith's already colorful language. What a gas, gas, gas!

The book simply stinks. Not everything has to be a nicey-nicey feel-good book. I like serious, and sometimes dark stories, but this just was not compelling. Sad things happened to main character, but it was hard for me to like him nevertheless. The rest of the characters were completely uninteresting & unlikeable. The story just never got better. At a little more than halfway through I realized I was wasting my time. Good luck if you download it.
