I was a little skeptical about purchasing this book. I really got a lot out of David's first book, and didn't think that this would live up to expectations. I was wrong. This book provides a lot of background to the first book, along with some really good messaging. David is truly a unique person.and I can only hope to be half of what he is. I listened to this between Christmas and New Years, and it was exactly what I needed.

I really got a lot out of this. If you are like me and have ever wondered what you are missing to get to the next level, you should definitely listen to this. The ideas are hidden in plain sight, but are so hard to find, but become obvious when you listen.

After reading and listening to "Can't Hurt Me" this presented a different view of David Goggins. Very entertaining and inspiring with some good life lessons.

I read this book when it first came out. The audible version adds a lot of insight from David that is not in the book.

I have read and listened to Rework and was a really big fan. I can speak firsthand about the toxic work environment at most companies. Emails coming in late at night and on weekends, ridiculous deadlines, unreasonable expectations, and vacations where calls from the office and calls to the office are an expected part of the position. There is a better way, without the drama. A place where employees can be happy and leave for the weekend and not even give a second thought to work. Imagine being able to fully relax and focus on a personal goal. Screw the sixty hour work week and working Saturdays, get your life back on track.

I read Into Thin Air when it first came out and have listened to it at least three times on Audble. It was great to hear the whole story from Beck, it really shows a different perspective from what I expected. Listening to this makes every day struggles seem minuscule.

I read Gary's first book when it came out. Since then I have listened to that book twice on audible. In this book Gary updates his message for the changing playing field. While this book may not apply to everyone's situation the bottom line is your success will reflect the effort that you put in. I have read some books where the approach is to find the easiest route, the hidden course, game the system. Nobody want's to say that if you want to be successful you have to get out of bed and do the work and usually it involves working weekends. I just finished listening to this today and will start again from the beginning tomorrow.

Gary is unique, I don't know many people like him. He is a master motivator with a work ethic second to none. If you have a child who is not sure about the direction they want to take in life I highly recommend you have them listen to this.
